I live in Canada and it's legal here so that's cool.
@Pineninja Good call. I agree with you. Luckily I love playing poker so that's a good thing.
@everyone else: What's a good amount of start up capital?

Tell me those weren’t bots).
There also without any doubt tons of people using bots on the sites particularly America’s Cardroom.
They could be 100% legit though and I lean towards that side. Maybe the two posters above could post their graphs from Ignition/ACR? It’s about time we legalize online poker WA will be the last state sucks..
Bots are definitely a common thing, it's not hard to find the code to make your own. The anonymous tables on Ignition seem like they'd make botting even easier too. It's not something that has really effected my game though, the ones I suspect in sit n go's usually are super conservative and easy to outplay. It is funny seeing how often they make it to the money in micros just by folding every hand and letting the fish knock eachother out, then playing push/fold on the bubble. I don't play the Jackpot's really since variance is so high anyway.
I'd guess online poker is towards the end of it's rope in terms of really being profitable, real time assistance is already here. There are screen grabbers and GTO solvers you can buy that if you download databases of solved hands, you can pretty much have a program telling you the optimal move in most situations in real time. Eventually it'll be all situations and be much more user friendly and easier to turn into bots. Combine that with ever increasing rake and decreasing fish pool, it's going to be tough in the future.

That's really up to you. I'd consider how much you have to lose first, then your skill level, discipline to not tilt it all away, how much profit you'd want for it to be worth it, etc. I know some people that upload $50 a week fully expecting to have fun losing it all, others who put hundreds on and grind .1/.2 to make a few bucks. Patrickkn's advice on bankroll looked pretty solid.
I started with $100 and playing $1 sit n go's and occasional ticket games and .2/.5 cash. Won a few big pots in cash and a few $30 wins after getting tickets to a couple $10 triple ups, made steady small profits in the $1 games. Once I hit $200 I moved up to $3 triple ups, now I keep about $500 on the site and play $3's and $5's, with ticket games and $10 sng's mixed in, taking a shot at bigger games once a week or so.
