Sustaining spores in a paddock

Hi, New member Dave here thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out. I recently started micro dosing with psilocybin mushrooms as part of my natural cancer recovery, I paid for some capsules which were quite expensive but now is picking season and I've been blessed to come across Panaeolus Cyanescens(Blue Meanies) in a paddock 5min walk from my gate.
My first question is: when I go picking I tend to pick from the same patties everyday(leaving one or 2 big ones for new spores) will they keep returning if always leave one or two? I live in the jungle in north western Costa Rica and no one in my area knows or cares about them but I want to preserve the species obviously for myself but more importantly to not remove them completely from the eco system.
Secondly: I read recently to use a basket or perforated bag while I'm collecting so any loose spores will fall out hopefully resulting in more patties having active spores, my question is how effective is this and is it worth deliberately shaking the basket A little when passing new dung? Can I potentially turn a small section of a paddock in to a growing area of 'fruiting' shrooms?
This obviously depends on the weather but how long once sprouted does a blue meanie stick around for before it dies?
Last question/s: is turning old inactive dung over with a shovel in hope new rain will activate old spores worth the effort? And secondly if I place other pieces of dung around the pieces of dung which regularly produce for me is there a chance the spores will spread and create a small 'patch' of active spores or does it have to happen naturally?
I'm also blessed with rain and sun almost every day till October where I live so it should be a regular thing if I do it correct.
As I mentioned this is not about greed or even tripping out it is for medical use and my interest in preservation is for nature and man alike so I greatly appreciate any info passed on to me.
BTW I realise I could bring dung and spores home to do it myself but I really enjoy the walk:)
One Love Dave

I Wouldn't Worry About The Spore Production But Instead The Mycelium Production.
When The Mushrooms Mature, They Drop Millions Of Spores & The Wind Then Carries The Spores Everywhere. Spores Can Even Be Spread Field To Field By Cattle Egrets.
When Picking Mushrooms It Is Best To Clip Them With Scissors At The Base, Leaving The Mycelium Underneath Intact. Pulling Dung Loving Sp From A Patty Exposes The Mycelium.
You Want To Leave The Patties Just How They Are, Don't Flip Them, Nothing. Let Nature Take It's Coarse & You Will Have Many Future Yields From The Same Field

Thank you for your reply, it's been over 20 years since I last went picking and as a teenager preservation wasn't a thought that crossed my mind but now in my 40's my mind state is different.
Apart from using scissors(which I've started doing) do you have any other tips for encouraging Mycelium Production?
Excuse my ignorance but if I spread spores while walking the paddock with my perferated bag and they make their way to dung in the right condition(temp/humidity/moisture etc) will that potentially begin mycellium activity? And if I understand correctly it would then take 4 to 8 weeks for mushrooms to sprout? Obviosly weather permitting Thanks again:)

Become a "carrier"& print some fruits on a hat or on your boots and wear them while you "hunt"... That way wherever you may roam youll be spreading the love...

I like that idea a lot:), do you recommend doing the spore print first then dusting it on the hat or boots or place a few fresh caps directly on the chosen item? Thanks for the tip

I think printing your item directly is preferrable. Have seen a pic of someone printing a bucket hat. Not sure how to do boots??? maybe just placing it on top of the toe holster area.

I think that can work, maybe I use a goal to take a few prints on then hang it off a tree close to where I collect and let it blow in the wind.. worth a shot!
Maybe I will do both

If I was to bring a few pieces of dung from my local paddock home and place them in a spot on my land by the mango trees or somewhere semi shady with some compost and add some grass clippings around or something high in nitrogen then spread fresh blue meanie spores around and let them sit out in the rain and humidity and do their thing.. would I possibly have a chance of producing some fruiting bodies a few weeks down the line?

Many People Have Tried This, Including Myself & It Sounds Like It Would Work When You Think About It, But I've Not Seen Any Great Yields Come From It. I've Seen A Few People Get A Few Shrooms From Patties They Bring Home. I've Never Gotten Anything. That's Why I Say Just Leave Them Be & Let Nature Work It's Magic
Now I Have Seen Some Badass Outdoor Grows But They Used Spawn Not Spores.

I figured it would be a long shot but more of a fun experiment for the hell of it. I live in the jungle in Costa Rica so the temp and humidity is perfect and now is rainy season so I would just leave them be and see ever happens, no real work will go in. By spawn you mean inoculated with a syringue?

By "Spawn" I Mean Active Mycelium, In Which Someone Made Pf Cakes & Then Spawned To Bulk Outdoors. You Might Have A Higher Success Rate Bringing Patties Home Since You Live Over Yonder In CR

My friend from costa rica had great success finding pan cyans that were very potent. You should be able to take some of the stem butts and the mycelium attached to them, and follow a tek to get sterilized grain. Then add the stem butts and mycelium to the sterilized grain and then let it colonate over time. Then add that grain mixture to the outdoor piles of their optimal environment and it will yield plenty all year round.
