Does anyone have any theories on why things seem to be drying up right now when the day and night time temperatures are still perfect and the ground is pretty damp? Is it just lack of rain recently?
I'm in North Kent. I found just 3 today (2 of which I accidentally stepped on, dammit). I decided to leave them alone to spread their spores. The ones that I see are still looking really young and healthy, but there just aren't the same numbers as there were a few weeks ago. Any ideas?

Ive been thinking the same thing, my theory is they need fresh rain. I don’t think they like just standing water, I think they prefer a fresh down pour. That’s my only thinking why they have not being showing recently, because the temperature has been perfect where I’m from too. Hopefully we get a dry spell then a fresh down pour of rain, wait a few days and hope a another flush before the frost comes.

Find some fields where sheep graze or try your local golf courses.

I’m going to jump a fence to a horse field tomorrow, where I live is no manure except this horse field. I must of walked 50 miles last week looking for cyans. What the worst that can happen with trespassing? I don’t want to be trouble, but I want to trip at least once in my life, what’s a guy suppose to do.
They say it’s up to life in prison, but the way I see it, I’ve been in prison on a life sentence since I got here. And I intend to escape.

Haha nice one.
The worst that could happen is getting shot by a farmer, having to go to court for trespassing would be annoying too.
I don't bother with private land anymore and have even found that the best spots I've come across were along footpaths. You can always grow your own cubensis if you don't find enough this season.

Hey Truth Seeker
I'm not a Trusted Identifier, but I'd say that only number 5 (the one with the broken cap in 2 parts) is a Lib.

Hey folks, anyone in Pembrokeshire, wales with more experience than I, fancy going to hunt the last of the liberty caps, sadly I've not had much luck my self in recent weeks. I seem to lack some vital element for hunting or prehaps the season is ending 😅 who knows

I found literally 2 Libs this morning down here in Kent, but I also found these 2 which I left in the field because I just wasn't 100% sure about them. They were a bit more reddish coloured and just sort of 'felt' different to the touch - a bit 'tougher'. The caps weren't sticky and despite being wet didn't seem to have an obvious pellicule either.
Has anyone seen these about on their forages and knows what they are at all? Or would you say that they are in fact just end of season Libs?
Thanks for any help guys.

i think we don't consider heat island effect when we see temps on weather, and whilst it may look ideal, actually lot colder in fields overnight than we think
plus its mid-Nov now so sort of when i'd expect they would slow down. arse end of season now innit

Cheers for both replies ShroomAnon - much appreciated
Yeah sadly it does seem to be pretty much over now. There are still a few red areas on Magic Mushroom Map UK around this part of the country, but I'm not sure how accurate that map is though.
After this coming weekend, I'll probably throw in the towel...

So I'm thinking to take s trip to either Dartmoor, Wales, or peak District in a few days time. I've checked temps for all those places and they look right.
Is there still good chance to find libs or is it too late?
