Thanks ShroomAnon, I was 99% sure but thought it best to ask by the time I got to the end of the post!
To be honest I thought the season might be over already with the frost and freezing fog we've had round here all week, so that's reassuring!
I've got the bug now. I was planning to have a lay in tomorrow but I think I'll be heading out in the morning to seek out some more elevation. Found these in Hampshire at a low elevation, circa 200ft, but there are some great hills around

looking at nighttime temps i'm hoping for couple more week at least currently lows of 6C for Manc over next couple of week even allowing for few degrees less in countryside it looks pretty good for foreseeable!!!
i'm big fan of hills so go for it (tho don't really know hampshire). also the "exploring" mindset is a bit different to "hunting" mindset - with exploring more about confirming finds in new places than numbers / weight. if you're out long enough should hopefully get a lot of both (new spots n shrooms)

Went for a stroll today and stumbled across some potential libs but wanted a second opinion. The ones on the bottom I’m pretty confident about, the ones on the top have many characteristics but look a bit dark to me. Would someone be kind enough to take a look please?

None of the top ones are libs.
I think all at the bottom are but could benefit from a another pic from a different angle on some. Or a TI would probably be able to confirm if you just wait for a second opinion.

hello again, after previous fail I kept searching for a good spot with G maps and magic mushroom map. today went to a pasture, cows all around and low grass with larger patches. have found these, very small, very white ish. we're all growing in patches and larger had the 'nipple'. i am not sure if they are the ones or perhaps they are but still small. if these are the ones how long should I allow for the tiny ones left behind to grow? a lot of dung around but none of these grew directly in a dung. spore print in progress. advise please 👍 there are a few dark but I am almost certain they are not the Libs.

Hey everyone, I hope you're well and have had a good season!
I went my first hunt today up here in Scotland, late I know but the weathers holding.
I was in a hilly area with plenty of moisture, heather and dying grass.
I've got a few I'm absolutely certain are liberty caps and a few I don't think will be but would love some second opinions please.
When collecting them I bagged by picking area so there may be some non libs mixed in with libs.
All photos have just been taken as soon as I got home so if you would like more photos once their dry or better photos of individual shrooms with gills please just let me know.
Thank you so much in advance =)

bit mixed up for my liking, most of A look good and then any other with that pronounced nipple to be safe. No expert here, but just 'know' when they are genuine, but that comes with 30 odd years looking:)

Spent a day looking in Kent today, following the advice of MagicMushroomMap, stuck to the areas that were 'highly likely'. Found some fields that seemed ideal; nice short grass, sheep grazing, lots of mushrooms.. Unfortunatelty just none of what we were after! Loads of little red shrooms what i think were Scarlet Waxcaps, tonnes of bright yellow ones which i think were Golden Waxcaps, loads of some sort of puff balls or shrooms that emitted their spores into the air when touched and plenty of Mycena.. We spent from about 9am - 3pm trekking an area that covered about 10 miles but unfortunately headed back to London empty handed. I was sure i would find some at some points in the day, the fields seemed perfect. Nevermind!

I've found the same, the season in the South East hasn't been great.
Thankfully Wales came through with the best spot I've come across so can't complain.
The map is a brilliant creation but not necessarily always right, I've walked many places on there marked as 'highly likely' but wasn't really right for libs, often due to cows or horses being in smallish fields where they make the ground solid. As good as the map is it could also lead to overpicking in the places which do fruit.

Hello All. First time hunting here. I’ve spent a lot of time going through these forums so I have a fairly good idea they are liberty caps but it would be great if someone could verify!
Found on grass on elevated moorland in the Yorkshire Dales.
Thanks in advance.
