first frosts now - will that be the end, or will the Libs show again if the ground is not actually frozen hard and it's just an air frost? Hardly been out this year but managed a small haul 2 days ago before Jack Frost turned up and wondering whether it's worth the effort. There were some good showings then!

Looks like some nice finds out there, and those sterile ones are weird, saw a couple today like that but left them, wish I'd picked them now, still I ended up with 80 from 3 spots in the new forest. Q1; When they have been picked, do they re-fruit in the same spot and if so how long after? Q2; Do horses eat them? (1 horse looked like he was tripping )

Hey Chedderfish, are the sterile ones still active though?
My guess is probably not. The place where I found them seems to be getting picked regularly by others lately, but these badboys were clearly visible and had been left alone.

I have picked some that was really blue, so I would definitely say yes.

That was asked on here a while ago and by all accounts yes and good to consume.

Hello, I found a few liberty caps this morning and only pick if I’m 100% sure that’s what they are but I have to say there were a few others mushrooms there that I was unsure of, must be my age, any help would be appreciated identifying these mushrooms. Bottom left of the picture is what I always pick but the others seem to have certain characteristics of the typical lib. I always ere on the side of caution so I’m thinking not!!

Got a mixed collection on right. Make an ID request with any unindentified specimen splayed out and numbered

Cheers

Another small batch from different spot but only up the road. Almost 100% sure most of these are libs maybe the more damaged caps are unidentifiable.

Hello everyone!
Not a liberty cap at all but I'm wondering what species this is...
It smells great and I'm considering slicing it up and throwing it on a pizza. Could anyone help with an ID so I'm sure it's safe?
Thanks in advance!

Evening all, long time lurker first time poster here!
Always hung around with Lucy more myself but thought I'd give shrooms another go recently and I bloody loved it! Got a few bits enroute for a little test grow, can't wait!
Anyway I digress.
The cosmos decided to have a bit of a laugh at my expense today. Figured I may as well take my government mandated walk at a potential spot highlighted on the UK mushroom map just on the off chance there were some Libs there. Went with no expectations of finding anything, especially on a first outing and planned to be about half an hour....
... So there I was 3 hours later on my hands and knees with all the dog walkers staring at me like I had gone mad when I came across these! A huge patch of, what I believe to be, tiny libs that I had walked past multiple times! Picked a few for science and verification and left the others to grow, hopefully!
Did I do it right? Can I take a picture so my Mum can put it on the fridge, or, am I barking up the wrong stipe?
