Yeah thats the way I head towards. I don't bother with any other fields at the minute because I'm getting so many from this one. There a few fields around the same areas look like they have potential.
This field was litrally discovered by chance. I pulled the car over and went for a look. I was walking around stairing at the ground and sarthe odd few and then as soon as I got on the embankment part it was littered... only small ones mostly because the grass is quite short. Its sheltered from the road with a wall so its ideal not having to worry about being seen.

👍🏻 You’re in business. They are very wet so post another pic when they dry out a bit, but at a glance yer good to go. Big one bottom left in the first two pics might not be one, the cap looks ok but not the stipe/stem

I got a few of these after a rainy day, found where grassland meets forest. Gills looked purple-brown (emphasis on the purple) when first picked and now just brown, creamy color, a little dry now but when first picked had a slimy cap. definitely a nipple there. Any ID?

Wow man, sorry. I didn't see any mention of no ID requests here, just many other posts for IDs.

May I ask whereabouts in the Midlands? Not your specific spot obv, just like the town or whatever. We've been out hunting too many times turning up sweet FA so we stopped going out a couple of weeks ago. Would be nice if they've finally arrived.

soz, apologies for getting ratty late last night.
it is just that i have seen a few older heads on the 2020 thread kindly asking people to start their own ID thread (including myself twice in the last few days). but it seems to have fallen on deft ears
this thread is for confirmed lib finds..
starting your own ID thread is for your own safety. with a specific ID thread, a T.I (trusted identifier) will answer your request.
the T.I.'s often do not search the find threads to help. even though there are many people here who can say yay or nay to a lib ID, it is still important that a T.I. confirms an ID request.
if people become complacent and take any heads word, this false sense of security could possibly put people in danger. please just make an ID thread and await confirmation from a T.I.
then once you can positively ID libs, you can post all your cool finds here
this will make the official find thread more enjoyable to read and it will be much more informative for newbies
i have taken a couple screengrabs from this year's thread with the wise words of shroomanon:

and the wise words of duggstar (T.I.) from the first page of the 2019 thread:

anywho,,soz again for the rant everyone. i really enjoy the seasonal find thread but have just become annoyed with the constant ID requests. i really am a kind and mellow soul
happy hunting and may the frosts keep at bay at least until the new year

Happy to report that Dartmoor is producing! Found about 70 in an hour, dark so hard to spot, give it a week or two and there'll be loads if the weather stays cold and wet. Re id requests, I know it can be difficult as a newbie and I don't think most people mind giving an id if they are libs or look very much like them, but sometimes I wonder why people don't look at the pics of libs already posted before posting a pic of something that looks nothing like them! They are either cream coloured if dryer, or dark brown when wet, with dark gills and a wavy stem, often with a nipple but not always.

New hunter and member here,
Found what I would call a pretty good amount of libs over the weekend (Friday & Sunday). All found in the North West of England at 300M+ elevation and on the Sunday I saw two other hunters. Still haven't weighed them though so I'll try and get that done and update this post.
Pics may contain some non libs as they were taken when requesting confirmation on ID.

Weather is looking promising for this weekend so hopefully I find some bigger fruits!

If you're anywhere in or near Leicestershire you should have no issues finding any. I can't guarantee it, as I moved away earlier this year and have yet to make the trip back, but in previous years I've found them all over the place. From city parks, to front gardens, roadside verges, golf courses, and the usual pasture land/hills. Those locations didn't always produce large numbers of mushrooms, but my point is that they can be almost anywhere that grass is growing. Grassy hills and sheep pastures are good starting spots.

Found a fair few, high up and only in the more sheltered areas.
Id forgotten how hard they can be to find!
I could not find any in the same places as last year.
I had almost given up and then they started popping up everywhere.
Came across this nice flush of 30 or so in the end.
