Not a trained identifier but you looks to have two types. The libs are the whiter/cream ones with blue bruising on stem and turn dark towards the Base of the cap. The others look tan/browner in colour, generally a little larger. Those are not libs.

Thank you so much for your opinion I really appreciate your reply. Excellent. These were my initial thoughts, however I thought it best to have some second eyes on the brown ones. So thanks, again

I'd wait till end of Sept for them to be out in numbers, might find some high up though. Good luck on your hunts. I'm doing a rain dance so let's hope it works.

A friend who went foraging for multiple fruits and shrooms came across these.
Near an area in which they described "animals used to keep the grass short".

Apologies I don't have much more as it's a second hand image from quite a far location away from me. Just wanted to see if there was any indication towards what they are, I suggested they seem potentially active but I'm not 100% sure as I can't get into the gills or handle them. Any idea? SEEM like semilanceata's.

Corprinoid species, probs c.micaceus, not active buddy. Libs are about 1/10th the size of them, also the caps have a distinct nipple and a gelatinous layer on them.

Thank you for the quick response, you are my hero. I did think they looked awfully large, but the darkening at the base of the gils was fooling me with some of the tips being slightly pointier. I'll defo be able to use this info to help my ID'ing in future, thanks a lot. Sincerely.

Awesome, i aim to please.
The biggest a cap of a p.semilanceata will generally be, will be no bigger than maybe the top section of your middle finger, and the stem will be thin, supple and probably slightly twisted.
Keep searching in fields and pastures, cricket fields, golf courses and park greens. All perfect habitats.

Well, found a dozen or so about 3 weeks ago at some of my local spots, cricket pitch and golf course. But nothing else so far at other locations (cemeteries, play grounds/ football park).
Strange how there is the odd few early, mybe there was a torrential downpour and that triggered some to flush.
Guess the weather is only starting to turn a bit cooler now.
Usually when I see the geese flying overhead then I know its shroom season, they migrate back from Iceland to here for winter and then they go looking for food during the day. But not seen any flying about so far, so need to get out more...
Good luck fellow hunters, I'm sure they are on the way, gonna look this weekend.

@EloquentParadox no luck there,
The stems should be solid, white, wavy and quite thick compared to the top. The stems also turn blueish after picking.

Found these amber beauties yesterday when the sun was out! Spotted loads and loads of pins, if they were more mature I probably would have picked over a hundred. Settled on around 30 'big libs'. Hopefully the making of a great season! Found at 300m above sea level.

Lovely little buggers. Still no joy in any of my spots, N.ireland. Were are you if you don’t mind me asking? Most of my spots haven’t been cut due to the lockdowns, fields badly over grown. Pinning all my hopes on a local playing field which has produced for me before.
