Does my agar look good?

Sometimes my agars turn out white all the way and sometimes there are some paler sections in the agar. But they smell fine and are not slimey like a contaminated or bacterial agar and I can use them to make new agars that turn out all white, if I'm lucky.
all white example:

with paler sections example:

Are those with some paler sections fine? Why does this happen?

I tried my best and took pictures from several angles but it's hard with these containers as they are not regular agar plates. But does it happen to anyone else that the agar is not unisonally white and has some paler spots. Especially around the inoculating agar piece.

Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone. Do you use them on grain spawns as well with success or do you just use those to make more agar? I've been having very little success with grain spawns myself.
I thought it could have to do with sediments and I've been trying to resolve the nutes better lately but it has not helped. It seems just a matter of luck to me to get it unisonally white.

Do not put agar wedges on grain until you are certain the culture is pure.

I'm trying to find out if the agar is fine. Since I don't know how to stop getting it.

don't worry about how it looks right from MS... people get that organized look to their agar because they transfer pieces like the ones you're talking about to another blank agar plate.

I see. So those "plates" are not inoculated yet?

Idk. I've never had untouched plates turn white. Sounds like e coli

hmm, My plates in the pictures are all inoculated from other agar bits. In this particular case, I remember the inoculating agar was all white. But some of these turned out like this. you can see on the picture, they have some parts that are not very white but still rhizomorphic and they plate smell nice as well. I have created agar that are unisonally white from plates that look like these. So I wonder if this is fine or this is some kind of hidden contam.
