Lol I was just smelling mine the other day. It smells different to me but it could just be all the metabolites it’s decided to make instead of mushrooms.

Lookin Good LikeMyc!
Hey folks here are the details: Selected rhizomorphic growth off MS germination plate and grew out that T1, inoculated grain and then used one quart in a shoe box with two quarts coir verm for test run, -> cloned larger fruit from a good cluster & cleaned up on agar, -> inoculated quart of grain - good clean growth, -> G2G to myco bag with 4 full quarts grain (Feed barely), -> fully colonized and consolidated for too long maybe a week? (Because Psilo is a lazy distract-able fuck like that), -> spawn to 1 part grain (4.75 quarts) to 1.5 -2(?) parts coir verm in Pasty tub ... my method involves thorough mixing of spawn and substrate... careful leveling, then add 1/2-3/4 inch of coir verm on top and carefully level while maintaining a fluffy open texture. -> with lid on place in Martha that has 6,500 K LEDs on 12 hour on cycle, an ultra sonic humidifier set at 85% humidify and heater set at 80-82 F. Martha also has a exterior fan that forces fresh air in to fully exchange air twice per day. It also has a small fan that moves air around every couple of hours -> Mist tub as needed (if top layer appears to be drying out), -> within a week surface colonized evenly:

Due to a 4 day camping trip I left it like this (temp turned down to 70-75). Normally I would take the lid off for more FAE durin pinning. Pinning and maturation seemed to take only 5 days.

What did the myc on the plate look like?
Your tub has no puffballs at all. So many variables. Could be the genetics, the consolidation, the thick top layer.

Hey guys.
Have some new jars with natal super strength which were inoculated with spores. My gut is telling me something wrong here but need some advice please. Pics below, can't get the upload with message right for some reason.
Much appreciated.

Try to keep them all to one post.
Your wbs is prepped too wet, they do look bacterial but it could be the water making it look that way. Since you used spores it’s probably both.
I’d still spawn them if they fully colonize, bacterial spawn will usually fruit still and natalensis seems to be pretty hardy.

your bird seeds looks very wet.
how did you inoculate with spores? did you make a spore syringe and shoot that in there?
lot of vectors for failure in that route, if you're not familiar with agar, pastys agar tek is a good place to start
you want to establish a clean culture before using it to generate spawn
clean cultures and solid grain prep is the way to go
the bird seed can be prepped as easy as a 12-24 hour soak in cold water, strain to dry for about 15 mins, load wet and pressure cook at 15psi for 90mins

Awesome guys, was spores to syringe yes. First attempt so failure not so heartbreaking. Dunno why I can't pop the pics in one post, apologies.
I'll try the agar route as suggested
Thanks

It’s not a failure yet, I’ve spawned some very bacterial jars before and gotten good flushes.

Just on the bacterial look, is it any bacteria that will make it look like this or a specific type?

That flush was 5 oz dry. Not too shabby but if the fruits had been bigger I’d have a more respectable weight. On this next flush I’ll be looking for bigger fruits to clone. I gut that mutant blobby wet bubble maybe thing out of the tub. It started going into over drive and producing this stinky brown ooze.

Thank you, that means alot. You can tell I gave that one plenty of FAE with those shiny ass caps Hell you can even see that agar plates I used to keep the lid raised.
