So I shook some fully (80-100%) colonized jars, not knowing you only shake at 30%
If I transfer the jars g2g in next day will they be fine?

people shake to speed things up and spread around mycellium so the timing of which you shake is irrelevant, just g2g when they are 100%

you have to shake them to break up the myc before you can g2g anyway.

80-100% is not completely colonized.
Never g2g or spawn grains jars 80% colonized.
Yeah, next time shake em once at 30%. It stresses the myc, and while the myc is running we want it smooth and relax

Download Stamets' notes and read jar shaking section. It explains it well, mycelium stress and recovery etc.

Not worth doing but actually for g2g i think you can get away with a 90% colonized grain, the 10% is going to colonize later and the g2g should be sterile anyways, but i would wait to 100%.

Its totally cool to expand a master jar by g2g if its only 80%... if spawning them, then they need to be 100%.
It's also totally cool to shake up your jars at 80%, 90%, 100% or any other % you want. If its clean, it'll recover. If it's not clean then it wont recover.

Thabks guys. My jars have been recovering. Speaking of which I haven't even checked on them in 2 days and the g2g jars are all ready to go. Check my sig link for updates.
