Full colonization?

Hey guys so I have these 2 grain masters that have been colonizing for a while now and I was wondering if you would consider this close to full colonization, and also how long before I can G2G them? These jars are about a month into colonizing on oats spawn was inoculated with a clean agar wedge. Thanks for reading any opinions are helpful!

I wouldnt g2g those. They look bacterial. You can give them a shake if u wanna check but a month is a long time. It generally takes about 2 weeks with wedge inoculation

They look a bit off to me if I’m being honest. Just my 2 cents though.
The myc seems super weak compared to most fully colonized grains. Reminds me of when my wbs goes bacterial. It just won’t colonize substrates fully in my case. I even experience higher contam rates when using bacterial grains.

Ima say this again, I could be entirely wrong.

I forgot to add that I just shook like 2-3 days ago would they still be recovering?should I wait alittle longer to see if they improve?
Also I used a tiny piece of agar from the center of a pinning plate would this cause slow colonization?

I would personally definitely use more than a single section cut from the center of a plate but im sure that would work just take a bit longer. These are still bacterial even for 2 or 3 days after being shaken. Notice the seeds that dont look to be recovering, as well as the moisture that seems to be building up. The seeds not recovering at the same rate is the first sign that tells me my grains are bacterial.
Its not worth risking all your future receiving jars if you ask me.
Id try growing a full plate almost to the sides with healthy myc and dropping the whole plate inside a master grain jar. Maybe cut the plate into a few sections and drop it in the jar then so it breaks up when you shake it around a bit after dropping it in. (not much at all)

Aye, we live and we learn.
Its better to ask and learn this now, rather than put those to other grains and waste even more time and money.
Ive been going through a shitty spell with all grains, everything I would inoculate ended up going bacterial but I was using MS syringe straight to grains. I'm in the process of cleaning up some cultures on agar finally.
I wish you the best of luck on the next projects! 👍
Also, im not sure if you should toss them entirely. You could look up something called top fruiting and see how that goes with those jars if you really wanted to get something out of it. I've tried it with bacterial grains before and got a few mushies out of it. Not sure if it was worth the time though tbh.

I would spawn them in trays or a shoebox. Just dont G2G transfer them as they are bacterial. Should fruit fine in a small batch tho. So shoebox or a tray with a casing layer
