It's heavily debated.
I think most general american coffee is bad for you.
The good shit is expensive and something to be sipped with pinky extended.

yeah, it irritates your stomach and fucks with your REM sleep, some people also get nasty withdrawals, studies that show it it is good use a small 8oz cup a day, but really who only drinks 8 oz, and then ask yourself who funds those studies

The magic is in the coffee machine if we are talking about espresso here. I buy moderate priced stuff from italy. My father buys the cheapest espresso that our walmart has to offer. Im using basic italian coffee maker. He is using 500 S machine.
Guess who makes better coffee
If you can afford put some money on the machine instead of top self coffees.
And as far as dringing espresso with pinky pointed, naah it is still a fix of stimulant for me and most of the peopple, just tastes little bit better and has fever sideeffects imho.

In all things I think it just depends on your body.
My step grandpa was literally told by his doc that coffee would kill him. He's an 80 some year old man with heart problems tho.

Green tea is definitely superior, but coffee is a staple at work. I make big pitchers of green tea and refrigerate it for home use though.
Was listening to a podcast last week that was talking about matcha. I guess it has more theanine than regular tea because it's grown in shaded areas. I guess the legit stuff isn't as bitter as the cheaper stuff because the theanine makes it sweeter too. Theanine is what supposedly makes the tea non-jittery. Thinking about buying some matcha.

I've wanted to try matcha. Green tea generally has a lot of l-theanine. Like you said it helps with the jitters but it also has an almost stimulant or more cognitive effect that works well with caffeine. I found theanine to kind of have nootropic effects.

i was up to about a pot and a half of coffee a day and then I quit. 0 coffee only 2 or 3 cups of tea per day.
Didn't last too long.
Like with smoking I just enjoy the ritual too much. I even enjoy shitty coffee. It will be 100 degrees tomorrow and I will be outside sipping on a hot cup.

Yup the actual act of smoking is desirable and adding it to already routine thi da like coffee in the morning it's like a speedball for the average person lol. Smoke and fresh coffee in the morning.. I love it and hate it so much. Definitely a bad habit and need to quit, not coffee tho

Seriously, the morning coffee on the way to work is a guaranteed cigarette for me. Every single work day. I go many days where that's my only cigarette. But I have to have one with that cup.
