Hi thought I'd save these from the whipper-snipper and ask you guys what they are, seem to grow everywhere in the suburb.
Habitat: Perth WA. In the lawn in a very low light, damp courtyard.
Gills: Light orange, brownish-tan-salmon, ripe and spread out. Deep gills, divided by extreme shallow gills.
Stem: Hollow, 2-4mm thick, 4cm-7cm, pearlescent/satin brown orange
Cap: 1-3cm diameter, orange brown, matte, smaller less ripe specimens appear conical convex, open large/ripe specimens appear concave on the top.
Spore print color: To late to tell, don't think there are any spores left.
Bruising: Doesn't appear to bruise.

The fungi world is crazy if you're into science and biology!! Laccaria bicolor is the one that feeds on arthropods, it literally makes a wed of mycelium and traps its prey!! Fucking fascinating! You know pleurotus ostreatus will carnivorize nematodes and theres a whole group of 'carnivorous" mushrooms.

Theres something like 200 species that are carnivorous. Some consume organisms as small as bacteria and some as large as spring tails.
Technically cordyceps is a carnivorous fungi too

After checking a local guide:Perth Urban Bushland Fungi Field Book [Neale L. Bougher]
I think these are Laccaria lateritia "Brick Red Laccaria"

They dried out to a light tan color and appear to have white spores (judging from the white residue on dried gills, as the paper they are on is white).
Very excited to have a strong potential ID.
