i think it's just a mutation or caused by conditions. i think it's called rosecomb? could be wrong

It looks like they’re matured to the point the cap starts rolling up but there’s no spores.
I’d pull them off and work on conditions, I think they were probably too wet based on the size and no spores.

lol I wish when I was a kid they were plentiful enough to care what they were called like weed was. Every couple months they’d show up and there’d be a savage race to buy them. Maybe like 5% of people would’ve known what cubensis meant. Everybody just called them “shrooms”.

Update - I have a thermometer/humidity sensor coming for the second flush. I will probably reduce the amount of misting I am doing second time round. 2 main questions and thank you for the feedback from all. 1. Can I still use them? 2. I should pull them and retry on the 2nd flush? Thanks all

Those are all fine to eat, I would pull them now.
The sensors and stuff don’t really help much but won’t hurt anything.
Humidity and conditions ends up being something you have to get an eye for and go by looks.

Well they aren't contaminated, and some look fine like the ones on the right side. Id say go for it. Its only the caps that got messed up, right guys?
And Aka I grew up in pnw I could always find someone with mushrooms. Usually cubensis

My B+ caps started growing a stem out of the top. It’s my first time growing so I’m confused. Can anyone tell me if this is normal?

That's super weird! Are there pools of standing water in there? I can't tell if it's just the lighting.

Must be the lighting, or that I just misted with a spray bottle right before the picture.

I usually aim for small droplets on the surface and try not to mist often or heavily once they are really growing. However, I'm a noob so I'd wait for a knowledgeable person for a definitive answer.

Updated info. I ran across an old thread on here explaining that misting can cause the mycelium to grow on top of the cap. It’s not abnormal and doesn’t negatively effect the mushroom. It is recommended that I stop misting and just keep the Perlite damp, in the container. I’ll update again if I notice any change.

you have some cool mutants, but I think you have an FAE problem. I would harvest mushrooms with the gills exposed and rehydrate the cake to fruit again, better fresh air exchange will help a lot

Just an FYI that misting fruits is fine, over misting can cause problems though, you don’t want standing water on them for long periods.

What about these? Is this mold, rot, or anything that should be avoided? Also, should I check the substrate for more of this green color and toss it, if it’s in the entire

Almost all cubes will turn blue green like that when damaged. I’ve even had a couple times where I gently squeezed PE to see how far along it was and it bruised my thumb print on the stem.
Talk about incriminating
These were blue just from growing against the side of the sub

When I was a kid if we were smoking a B and cops came around, we had a rule that whoever had it had to eat it to hide the incriminating evidence. Hiding your evidence will be wayyy cooler!
Joking aside, I am very grateful to have seen this post. I had the mildest touch of cobweb on my 1st grow. I did the 3x hydrogen peroxide and water mix 12 hours apart and cobweb is better, I also increased FAE. Tonight I noticed some of the primordia are blue! I panicked because I already have had to toss some jars that were bad and thought I had lost my lil tub. Now I read that they likely just got damaged from me being too aggressive from the spraying h2o2 and should be fine!
Thank you all as always, without the info here IDK if I would enjoy this hobby as much as I am
