Burst grain or bacterial contam?

Hey folks, long time lurker, first time posting - glad I finally made an account and can start sharing my experiences with the community! I'm on my 11th grow now, my last tub showed signs of trich shortly after pinning, so I tossed her in the compost pile and had another batch of g2g grain halfway finished colonizing, so not all bad news
Now on to my current hesitation...
I'm a little gun shy to move forward with these 2 spawn jars based on my last failed grow. They look mainly colonized, but I don't want to chance it. I can toss 'em and use the other healthy jars, but was hoping to have a higher spawn ratio in this next batch to ward-off any possible floating trich spores.

Please take a look at the images and let me know your opinions on this myc. Contammed? Burst grain? Safe to use? Mush love dudes

don't worry about trich spores floating worry about clean spawn, the difference between a 1:1 and 1:2 spawn ratio is a couple days at best, those are bacterial spaen on their own or toss them

It doesn't matter what i think of you...all that matters is clean spawn I'm tired do me a favor

That's why I like growing in large myco bags. I wouldn't hesitate to use a jar with bacteria. Where I would hesitate to use the jar In a tub.
I use only one jar of spawn to 2-3 quarts of hydrated coir/verm per bag.
If I have a problem with a bag I discard the bag and not wipe out the whole tub.

To harvest can't be more easy. just pull out a bag put It on a table and cut away..

Solid advice, I'll keep that in mind going forward - thanks man. The one part of my technique that could use some cleaning up is g2g & a2g timing in the SAB. Moving quickly + preventing air currents seems like an oxymoron I'm hoping to get better at with experience.

Our fungal friends taught me about my consuming nature and propensity I had to use & discard in the past - it's hard for me to justify purchasing single-use plastic when I have a perfectly good tub and mason jars lying around. Not that there's anything wrong with using spawn bags, I just have a hard time seeing their fragile structure being reused for multiple cycles. I'm sure those bags make your life a hell of a lot easier though

They make biodegradeable bags
Also, yes these are bacterial and very bacterial at that. Shoebox em.

You don't need to move quickly in the SAB. That was a mistake I made at first. Just focus on smooth deliberate movements. It's all about the air movement and making sure you don't hover anything above your work that hasn't been sterilized.
You could look into shoe boxes as well. I'm in love with the things. I make mine like this https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26009662
One qt of spawn each so you won't have the rotten apple effect of a bad jar messing up 4 good ones, and if you prep them carefully you get canopies and no side pins

DOOOOPE I just checked out SS, and yup they have some biodegradable bags. That's frickin awesome. I'll have to experiment with 'em in the future - that makes me happy knowing I can toss 'em in the compost pile and make my plants happy after their intended use

Solid advice, thank you! I've been doing large 60+qt monos in the past. I'd love to dispense with the anxiety around adding a fucky jar in to the mix to hit ratios, shoebox seems like a perfect alternative

Another thing that Is nice growing in bags or shoe boxes Is you can grow each jar of clones or mono culture individually to see what one gives that stellar grow. That's not practical to do in a tub.
