Is this mycelium?

Hello! Recently made my first attempt at PF Tek, made 4 jars, 2 colonized well, 1 seems dead and 1 I can't understand. Today when I opened it it was full of fruit flies and the jar looks really strange. No bad smell, but whatever is growing there grew over the dry layer of vermiculite and it doesn't look as "veiny" as mycelium. Should I birth it together with the rest of my jars? Here are a few photos of the jar in question: https://imgur.com/a/sXWKvII Thanks in advance!

I dont know how good it is if you even have insects breeding in there :/ I would bury it, but maybe its just me, I don't like shit growing in my home. Lets wait for the experts.

Yeah it's really strange. There were no flies a few days ago and this is the only jar they got in to. Also, many of them are dead.

I may be overreacting then. Especially since yo say it just recently happened and smell is not bad. You can put a trap right beside your grow. Google some recipes. Some growers even spray the tubs with water and a few drops of Eucalyptus oil or something. I tried searching threads but I have to run so couldnt search thoroughly.

Perhaps i`m misunderstanding, but what kind of "jar" is this?
How did you sterilize?
How are the lids looking?
I place a glass with apple cider vinegar nearby, if some gnats are around. We also cultivate lavender outside, many insects hate it.
My opinion:
They are mature, and just want to snack a bit. In colonized substrate they usually don`t breed. But you don`t know what kinds of contam they carry around. As redhandmat mentioned, i wouldn`t like it either.
If it`s a common problem in your environment, you may cover holes with micropore, in case you have pf-tek jars.

It's a "tupperware" style type of plastic jar and I sterilized it for 1 hour in a pressure cooker, the lids are plastic snap on lids with a few needle sized holes in them. I know that the jar is not ideal, but I think i sterilized it well. My main question is if this is normal mycelium or not, the flies dont worry me that much.

Yes there`s myc in there, you have some pins. Also pooling at the bottom. Could be bacterial, i`d separate it from the others.

I took another look and a segment looks greyish/greenish/black https://imgur.com/a/eBLcArU so I' guess I'm throwing it out. Curious that you saw some pins because I'm looking for them but can't differentiate them myself.

Guessed this could be some. If you`re in a wet environment, you may cover the holes with micropore tape next time. Just to be sure your verm barrier doesn`t suck up too much moisture.
