Yeah I know I was able to find info about the FC bucket which is literally just a bucket with a bag on it. But that kinda success really makes ya think don’t it.

I was wondering how he got light and airflow in there but then I realized it was outdoors. That’s probably by far the biggest factor.

Hey for anybody else out there on there first run with jalisco, with the atl and tamp they didn’t mind water or mist or heat too much really but these Jalisco at least for me are sensitive to heat and they are sensitive to mist and too much water as well. They will abort even after they have matured. Or at least they sensitive to mist when they are experiencing too much heat. My ac froze up recently and it’s been hot in my house for about week. I had a cluster where I had misted abort along with some others. It was 82 in the FC and 76 in the house. Once I fixed it and the temp returned to normal the mushrooms grew noticeably in a day after about 3 or 4 stalled out and small. I thought it was going to be a total lose but the caps are big enough to get a couple small prints at least. One thing after another.

I have been growing a lot of Jalisco lately and I find them to love heavy misting as long as they are getting enough fae. The only time I've had a lot of aborts is when the RH drops below 90 for too long and they dry out. Also I keep the temp around 75-77 so that shouldn't be your problem

Weird the thing is always above 90 maybe the excessive heat caused the aborts

I’ve only done two shoeboxes but the only aborts I really got were from atl when it got too dry.

Is there any benefit to spawning with the stones or is standard practice to always hand separate them and spawn just the remaining colonized grain?

Weird how different mexicana and tamps can look somethimes, then other times identical
Those look just like tamps to me, i dont see the vertical stripe things in the cap. Might just be a wild vs indoor thing

Yeah exactly they look just like tamps to me. I know there’s supposed to be a Mexicana A, no idea what it looks like though. Jalisco is the one that looks totally different I’m surprised it’s not as popular as tamp/atl. I guess cuz a lot of people want stones.

Well that heat blast when my ac froze up really fucked em. Those black ones are the aborts from high heat for 3 or 4 days it was about 83 or 84 in the FC. Oh well got a bunch more trays to come.
 lots and lots of side pins as well. My next tray will be a lot better with a more stable environment

Still looks like some really good clusters. There’s always the next flush.
I dropped a tamp plate pin into a jar a while back and it spread super quick. I’ve done it with cube pins a handful of times but it never worked as well as I’ve seen it go for other people.
Got some Jalisco on grain finally too, and just spawned another tamp shoebox. I’m loving these things so far.

I'm with a.k.a. I've fucked up some 1st flushes with humidifier problems but killed it in later flushes. Stones in the sub are like having money in the bank for subsequent flushes.
