Help, are my PE bruised or contaminated?
    #26827264 - 07/16/20 03:50 PM (3 years, 6 months ago)

Hello all,

Super newb, here. I'm in the process of my first PE cultivation. This is the first flush, and all the sudden two started turning blue/grey/green. The second pic has the two that are turning blue (There's one that's fully grey/blue). I haven't been able to find any pics of actual mushrooms being contaminated, but I have read that for PE it's normal for them to turn blue. Also, can someone help me gauge about how long until picking time?

They’re all ok to eat, but some have aborted. You can tell by the small dark shriveling caps.

In the second picture the big one is fine but the three next to it are aborted.

Those are great for a first PE run especially on cakes. The bigger ones look about done, especially the two on the bottom right. Lol the hunchback one is awesome.

Idk if you’ve tried PE before but :crazy2:

They look good to me. You can still eat the aborts when you pull the rest, they aren't going to do any harm chillin there til then.

I usually harvest when the caps just start to curve up like that unless I'm taking swabs. They can go longer but since I vacuum seal, the wider caps get crunched easier.
