Using fresh millet for spawn?
    #26827074 - 07/16/20 02:10 PM (3 years, 6 months ago)

Tried lookin it up but no dice, if i really wanted to i could prolly Gather up a few hundred pounds of it.

The plants are currently still green but the seeds are starting to change color, so im curious if anyones used "fresh" millet before or if id have to let it dry then rehydrate and all that fun crap

Why not try it once it has changed colors? I mean as long as the water content is right and its properly PC'd I don't see why myc would care either way.

no pet co?  walmarts?  no feed stores? in your area?

don't waste your time using grains that are not ready.

Cubensis is a promiscuous strain, if you cook the grains up in boiling water and saturate them you should be fine.  Assuming you sterilize with pressure cooker and whatnot.

Oh its purely just a sake of curiosity question, i aint fixin to jack with it right now, id at least wait till the plant itself reaches the end of its life cycle.

Was just walkin around work, noticed em and the thought popped in my mind
