Are you creeping around peoples houses in the bushes at night again?

One time in the summer, in Texas out in weatherford my mom, brother and I were driving home. We had been visiting my sister who lived pretty far out off the highway by the river. We came to a dried up creek bed crossing and there were thousands and thousands of frogs all over the road and on both sides. No way to go around them, my brother and I couldn't have swiped them away enough to drive through, it was late, so we HAD to drive across them! My mom screamed really loud for as long as she had to drive over them. Me and my brother could hear them popping and we were just laughing at my mom, it was horrible and a little bit funny. I still remember it to this day and hope I never have to do that. I cry almost if I hit a squirrel, bunny, etc...I'll almost wreck to miss them, those little bastards!

I value the life of that little slug over the life of most people in general. If feels almost like instinctual protection for lower life forms. Some kind of sympathy for the less enlightened.
