First-timer | White fluffy lumps on top (19 days past)

Hi, My first time growing mushrooms and I think I need advice from the forum to help me identify if I'm doing something wrong. I ordered the box from the web. To be exact it's the "Extreme XL Supa Grow Kit - Mexican". It's been 19 days since I received the box and prepared it.
So far I've been misting when needed to keep enough humidity. I also keep a close eye on the droplets inside the bag to make sure it isn't too dry on the inside. So sometimes I just mist the two sides, or all of the four sides.
I've been fanning it twice a day (sometimes 3-4 times) to get rid of CO2 build-up. Usually I do this for a couple of minutes with a small portable "face fan" and never on the cake itself.
The lightning conditions are fairly good. Never gets direct sunlight, it's in an OK lit room. It's not completely dark so to say.
I have also been taking precautions to avoid contamination. Wash my hands before putting on disinfectant alcohol and then gloves. I make sure that my area of use is cleaned with alcohol. The fan also gets sprayed with alcohol to make sure it's clean as it can get. Mouth guard to protect the bag from aerial bacteria.
So far I have not noticed any contamination. No mold, no cobweb or anything. Checked the contamination part of this forum and I couldn't compare any pictures to my cake.
But, the build up of a white lumps seem to be forming on some random spots of the cake. I have noticed that the lumps get bigger the more I mist. So I've cut down on some misting and started to FAE more. This halted the build up of the lumps somewhat. But this isn't going to work when the humidity is totally gone, so eventually I have to mist to keep the humidity up.
So I wonder if the "lumps" are OK? Because it's spreading to, what I believe is hyphal knots. The hyphal knots appeared just about a week ago and have been growing extremely slow compared to other users.
I appreciate any help for a first time grower. Respect to this community for all the help so far!

Could just be blobbing of mycelium.. those primordia look like they’re a pretty unique phenotype.. short and stout like KSSS. So some blobbing wouldn’t be super surprising. Could be mycogone or some other infection but I’d just keep an eye one it and see what it does.. should be able to get some kind of flush out it either way. Imo

Thanks for the reply, Hopefully it's only mycelium blobbing. This also resembles mycogone so I'm not 100% sure. I've taken more images in somewhat better light conditions.
The blob has been developing since yesterday it also looks like it has very light-brown spots on the blob measuring around 0,5mm-1,5mm.

So Faht knows more than me, but it looks to me like this box is also dry. Are you misting the bag or are you misting the box? Because you should just mist the box and make sure you have tiny water droplets on the surface of the mycelium. And you can skip fanning. We dont do that anymore. shoeboxes can be closed for their entire life and be fine. Better even.

Yes I mist the inside of the plastic bag about 2 times a day depending on the humidity inside. Never on the cake itself. What do you mean by misting the box?
I will start to mist it 3-4 times a day to see how it goes. But with the misting the humidity goes up and resulting in the white blob getting bigger and eventually covering 70%-90% of the cake.
I can't tell if it's mycelium, trich or mycogone. It smells pretty nice though (typical mushroom smell).

You dont have a cake, cake is when you do PF tek. This is a box with mycelium and substrate in it. We just call it a shoebox, or if its larger we call it a tub (from monotub). In your case its a bought ready shoebox kinda tek. Anyways, you should mist the surface of the mycelium (what you call a cake) such that you have small beads of water on the surface. Very small beads, not a lake. And then you just let it be. You dont even need to fan it.

Thanks redhandmat for clarifying that. I will mist the surface of the box just enough so that there are tiny tiny droplets. No fanning then. I'll give this a try and update in a few days.

Usually when we do shoeboxes (little tubs of 6-12 qt), we heavily-ish mist the surface of the little boxes and then close the lid and leave them as is until we are ready to harvest mushrooms. The myc still gets air because there are still gaps between the lid and the box and enough moisture is in the coir that humidity is high enough all the time. We dont need to mist it at all until the second flush.
Im telling you this just so you dont panic and start doing weird shit to it (like fanning the hell out of it). You can just leave it (as long as you see droplets of water on the surface), and if its not seriously contaminated it will give you a first flush.
After that flush, I recommend cloning and/or taking prints so that you can do your own proper grows instead of buying these shitty grow kits that cost an absurd amount of money and barely work. Just get a PC and agar to get started.
