Contamination on Reishi fruiting blocks - is it too early to harvest?
    #26825284 - 07/15/20 01:39 PM (3 years, 6 months ago)

Hi, I'm struggling a little bit with my first batch of Reishis. The antlers seemed to stop growing inside the bags, so I cut them to allow conks to develop. Now I have some contamination on the blocks, not the antlers themselves but there are little spots of mold kind of close to them (maybe 1/2 inch to 1 inch away). I'm wondering if I should harvest now so they don't all get infected in case it spreads.  It's been kind of a weird and slow growing process and I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I should do - links to photos are below and I think you'll see what I mean. They don't look like photos that I've seen of healthy reishis.  Any help would be appreciated.

Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here.

Have some medicinal mushrooms and want to get the most out of them?  Try this double extraction method.
