Cake wont fruit, Should i re soak it?
    #26822422 - 07/14/20 07:06 AM (3 years, 6 months ago)

I have two cakes that have been in fruiting for 4wks now and still no pins. Both are 13x9 3in deep in disposable foil lasagna pans with plastic lids. They are Golden Teachers from ms syringe, popcorn for grain spawn, mixed with just vermiculite because i couldnt get ahold of any coco coir. One is cased with Jiffy, one is uncased. Both pans fully colonized in about a week but neither pan has started pinning in about 4wks of being in fruiting conditions. Temp has been 70-75 fahrenheit. Both lids have FAE holes with micropore tape. Theyve dried enough to shrink from sides of pans. My concern is ive never had GT's take more then 2wks to start pinning. Its been 4wks now and no signs of pinning. So im wondering if i should just treat them like spent cakes and resoak them and put them back into fruiting? Or does anyone have any other suggestions if thats not a good idea?
