Datura is such a beautiful plant isn't it? I have had these seeds in a drawer for maybe five years now. Maybe I should try to grow them!
Such an interesting substance too...

Do you guys have to cut the seed or soak them? Or can you simply let the plant self-sow?

Nothing special treat them like tomatoes start in early spring indoors and transplant when night time lows are above 50 or so. once they are established they will probably self sow unless you're somewhere really cold and wet i think. ive seeded several places it will be interesting to see if they pop up in the spring. if the winters are mild they might overwinter and regrow from the roots
also had a few seedlings pop up in some pots it will be neat to see what they do its almost fall time

Today I have had 3 small flowers. Don’t feel anything yet but I love them. When smoked I chill. When made into a tea I trip. Choices...choices.🤤
My plants are coming along fine now. Even if I just get some viable seeds I’m happy.

I was going to grow some but im not certain I would like it. I tried Dimenhydrinate a few times but didn't like it because it made me feel ill like I had the flu or something. Does datura make you feel ill? I seen a demon on Dimenhydrinate and thought I was covered in spiders. I been wanting a datura plant and a Atropa belladonna. I think ill grow Datura metel I like the name Devils Trumpets. I want to get fucked by a sexy Succubus that would be cool.

i threw some wrightii and metel seeds in a warm wet rag and they popped in 3 days and are now growing through the fabric due to my laziness

Beautiful plants, we get them everywhere here in south africa. Either the moon flowers, angel strumpets, spikey Dataru, purple flowers, we got em all growing wild.
Have tried brugmansia tea before in a group setting and it was madness; constabt blackouts in and out of waking dreams, not recreational by any means and keftnwith a dry mouth for 2 weeks after as well as a weird taste in your mouth and a strange tunnel vision when reading causing blurriness around a circular fish eye lens like occurrence.
Really weird shit.
I've also eaten the plants and leaves dry on a full moon but that did nothing.
Datura though, I stay far away. A close friend was hospitalized for psychosis after ingesting a handful of datura seeds.

Update.
I have had a really easy going settled year of my second season plants.
Collected a few seeds for the third generation and have collected leaf material aswell.

The mushrooms are great. The mushrooms are fine. Give me them with lashings of wine.

Is Datura uncommon in other parts of the world?
I have volunteers on my patio, but no other plants will grow next to it, in the same pot.

Well. My harvesting is nearly over for another year. Got a few seedpods ripening and that’s it. Collected a few leafs too. Happy tripping🚷
