Beautiful plants, we get them everywhere here in south africa. Either the moon flowers, angel strumpets, spikey Dataru, purple flowers, we got em all growing wild.
Have tried brugmansia tea before in a group setting and it was madness; constabt blackouts in and out of waking dreams, not recreational by any means and keftnwith a dry mouth for 2 weeks after as well as a weird taste in your mouth and a strange tunnel vision when reading causing blurriness around a circular fish eye lens like occurrence.
Really weird shit.
I've also eaten the plants and leaves dry on a full moon but that did nothing.
Datura though, I stay far away. A close friend was hospitalized for psychosis after ingesting a handful of datura seeds.

I have had a really easy going settled year of my second season plants.
Collected a few seeds for the third generation and have collected leaf material aswell.

Is Datura uncommon in other parts of the world?
I have volunteers on my patio, but no other plants will grow next to it, in the same pot.

Well. My harvesting is nearly over for another year. Got a few seedpods ripening and that’s it. Collected a few leafs too. Happy tripping🚷
