Habitat: Woody, grassy patch under mixed natives
Gills: Light brown/beige colour
Stem: Firm. Length: Up to 50-60mm. Diameter: 3-8mm. Colour: White bruising blueish.
Cap: Diameter: 8-40mm. Colour: Very light yellow. Very 'washed out type colour. Mature ones darkening. Juvenile ones with some caramel colouring.
Spore print color: Purple/Brown
Bruising: Very clean with no bruising whilst growing, extreme blueish/blackish type staining after picked.
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.
Hi all. I think this is my third post since registering in 2006! Talk about a lurker haha!
I'm thinking these are subs. But I've never found them so washed out in colour before.
You can see the bruising in the comparable images which were taken about 20 minutes apart.

Thanks mate.
Like I said, I've never seen Subaeruginosa so light coloured before. I was a little shocked at their location as I wasn't even hunting. I normally find them in Pines, and they usually have a full caramel colour to a washed out caramel colour.. Never this extremely washed out light yellow colour.
When I saw the bruising i was quite certain myself, but it's best to gather a variety of opinions, I believe, even if you are a seasoned hunter hunter but have even the slightest uncertainty.

Welcome to The Shroomery
Yes, I think so.
Haha thanks for the welcome mate, I have been around since before 2006 sometime. This was my second account, as I locked myself out of my first account with hundreds of posts, if I remember correctly. 🤷🏻♂️😂
