I'd rather do it alone in my home. But it's up to you.
Sure you can have a good time, if he knows what he's doing.

But 350 dollars for one session.. per person? So 700 bucks in total?
For that money you can get 5 kilos of rootbark and brew your own ayahuasca more than 1000 times.
Even in smaller quantities it's like 1 to 2 bucks per trip only.

I would love to & may very well possibly end up doing that but i guess you could call this trip an initiation.

You call it whatever you like buddy.

I too am of the idea that you should do it at home. But you can do as you please, that is the most important part. Be safe.

I think doing it in the Peruvian jungle could be a wonderful experience and I have always fantasized about doing something like that myself. However, I hesitate because I feel it would be the kind of thing that seems bright and romantic in one's imagination yet would probably be uncomfortable in reality, as it would be too unfamiliar a set and setting. Silent darkness in my own bed is my preferred MO, with a toilet/bucket nearby.

I'd probably prefer to find a close friend to go with, obtain the materials ourselves and camp out with a western guide if that was possible. We couldn't really ask for a place further from our normal familiar surroundings, not only because of the jungle itself but also because we would be with total strangers, whose ideas about Ayahusaca and culture itself (unless you go in for the new age stuff) would divert wildly from our own.

But these are largely my own hang ups and fears I think, and if you are an adventurous type, and go into it with a brave and positive attitude I'm sure it could be fantastic. However it goes, I'm sure it will be an unforgettable experience so don't just make it about Ayahuasca, but the whole experience. There is definitely more to an experience like that than simply tripping, and if my own experience is anything to go by (especially with B caapi) you probably won't get that much from it the first few times.

Oh, and don't get lost!

Great movie by the way, I also got the book on audible!

Blah.  Hope this special teacher is worth what you are paying.  Loved my experience on it.  Takes a hell of a long time to brew compared to shrooms or lsd and stank up whole apartment.  At the time roommates got I was doing some illegal in the states by my fear and smell, is horrid, so is the taste.  But they let me be so I respect them for that.

Point being it connects to one personally and teaches.  I get why some need a guide but I have had enough esoteric experiences it just used that and taught me of the connection, shown to me as a visual of electric green grid that I can connect to anyone at any time.  No such thing as time.  But with that comes responsibility.

Have gone back in time and yes, people get annoyed.  We stand of the shoulders of giants.  If ones intellect and being isn't near it, which mine isn't, they aren't happy.  I learned.

Enjoy your experience.  Is well worth it.  Just not to someone else giving them money except for the needed ingredients.  Just research it going in.  And no I didn't puke.  I have an iron stomach and I took a fair amount.

A lot of it is if you take care of your body and fit and if one chooses to fast before it.  Enjoy it, is a good teacher.  No humans required.

The money is no problem. Don’t care about that. I definitely get what everybody is saying in regards to safety, set & setting. I 100% know I’m going into this and willingly will be drinking ayahuasca with 2 of my family members and a Gardener. I say gardener because he is well-seasoned in knowledge when it comes to these Psychoactive plants. It’s been his life’s work.

I, among others have learned a lot on shroomery and other forums. I always wanted to try magic mushrooms and I manifested that to happen in my life. I taught myself how to identify, cultivate, dose, etc w/ mushrooms. Others have learned and done WAY more than I and I applaud that!

Now this is just me manifesting Ayahausca into my life which has happened also. I am a very positive and high spirited person. I do not judge. I am a very patient person (can thank cancer battle for that one lol). I love everyone and everything unless given proper reason not to. This opportunity or “retreat” If you will, fell in my lap as if it were meant to be. I am a seeker. I don’t intend for this experience to be ‘for fun.’ My intentions are all good going into this.

When it comes to cleansing or dieting, I have been plant based since I beat cancer in 2017. May not be the healthiest plant based (whole food diet) diet but I do know that 2 weeks prior he has dietary requests for us to do.

Here is a quick Q&A discussion between us for those that also want to know more. And please, no hate or judgement in this thread. Opinions are welcome.

Q: What is the setting before/during/after the ceremony? How long does it take?  Is it a night or day time session? Any restrictions?

A: You will be guests in my humble home. In the garden where the actual plants in the medicine grow.
Arrive 4pm for a couple of hrs chat, we dose around 6pm, lasts around 6 hrs I generally serve fruit salad supper around midnight. You will be prone on mats in my loungeroom, where you will also sleep overnight. The experience is about being with the plants and myself whom the plants use as a conduit to guide the session.
I use a playlist and I sing and play guitar. Also sing in plant language/ energy healing available, rattles and all that shamanic stuff.
It is your session you can have whatever you want. Bring whatever bling you want.

Q: How do you determine dosage?  (Does it vary based on weight, tolerance, etc)?

A: From the talk we have beforehand, I gauge what you require.  I also dose gradually, because this is personal service I dose you when and how it is needed, ease people in. Every element of the brew is grown/ sustainably harvested and prepared by myself, there is nothing whatsoever toxic in it. Ive dosed 78yo’s with cancer.

Q: What is the DMT/MAOI combination? Syrian Rue or B.Caapi for MAOI?
Acacia or psychotria viridis leaves for DMT?  I mention Syrian Rue seeds because of what I know of Psilohausca, which I’m sure you may also be familiar with.

A: Im am using the thick 20yo vine I grew, as seen in the picture I sent you.
I use a special blend of acacias, my brew is very unique.
I discuss the relationship with the vine and acacia in the video link in an earlier email.
Psilohausca is actually vine with psilocybin mushrooms.
The acacia in my brew tunes us into the Dreamtime energies of Australia.
If you are wanting a traditional psychotria brew, I could make one for you for a negotiated price, and to be honest it would only be half as good as my ascension medicine.

Q: Also, are there any restrictions regarding the session? I know there are dietary steps to take to detoxify the body before Ayahausca. We are vegan already and one a cannabis user. Would it be best to abstain from cannabis, alcohol, caffeine, etc a week or 2 prior to ceremony?

A: Try reduce things as much as possible, cannabis is ok, but try abstain on the day.

“We drink around dusk, say between 5-6
I like to have a good chat and bonding, for a couple of hrs first.
So I tell folks to arrive around 4
Beautiful lake walk at the bottom of the street if your early.
Don’t sweat it if your delayed, there are no starting rules.

Bring sheet,doona ,pillow etc
I will provide a fruit salad supper, that after years of different options seems by far the most popular.
In the morning, we will have a meditation and debrief, usually finish up around 10am.
Then you are close to beaches and cafes. A swim in the ocean is highly recommended.”

All in all. If worse case scenario, oh well, Atleast I got an extra 3 years.

Sound good indeed. But still not for me. I don't need another human in my head.

How come the trip is about the plant and the teacher? As he is a conduit. Why no mention of the person actually drinking the brew? Idk I'm definitely a nay Sayer on these subjects.

Interesting that some people would be closed off to the idea of that experience, without experiencing it

If i imagine him and his mom dosing at one of their places vs the retreat, the retreat seems far more magical and aids in creating what sounds like a beautiful setting

The music and chanting or drums and being surrounded by the living growing plants you ingest, sounds magical

Fruit salad and a dip in the sea? Count me in for that

I hope you have an amazing experience OP

Riiight but if that's what I wanted then I would do it. I prefer to make it myself that way I don't have to rely on others. I can gauge the dose and the experience at my own pace. In my home.

Its simply a personal choice. And I have wished the op be safe. So I wish them the best. There is just too many cons for my personal taste.

The B&B Mushroom Experience would be a similar endeavor, too bad it's not yet legal here.

Going for my yearly checkup with my doc. tomorrow morning.  For those that have cancer or other diseases, I feel for you.  Can't imagine how taking those mental and physical journies would be for one.

I don't think anyone takes it for "fun".  Not exactly a party drug.  Hope your cancer goes into remission and your body heals itself.  Don't believe in I ONLY HAVE 3 YEARS!

Wish you the best man.

I tried pharmahuasca once with my buddy at home.  We took 200mg of DMT and some crude syrian rue extract.  In hindsight, I would have taken less.  It would have been useful to have someone with experience, as we had no idea what to expect and thought we could handle it.

After dosing we purged within minutes, and went out on our quest to set up hammocks in the woods.  We got to the tree line and couldn't go any further.  Found a shady spot to lay down and spent some time there.  Eventually we moved to behind my shop for a while, then went into my shop where I had a papasan chair on a section of carpeting.  I gave my buddy the chair and just sprawled out on the carpet, alternating between staring up at the metal ceiling and closing my eyes.

After another undefined amount of time, I realized I was extremely thirsty, so I muttered the word "water" and walked up to the house.  At this point I became paranoid that my mother was home, as this was before she knew I did drugs so I absolutely could not risk running into her.  I decided I should use the outside faucet instead, so I turned it on only to become frustrated when I could hear the water but it wasn't coming out (the hose was attached  ).

I came to the conclusion that without water, I would die, so I crawled under the house and found a good spot.  Not long after I came to my senses and continued my quest for water, this time going inside (once I figured out the door handle mechanism).  I spent a fair amount of time in my room hiding from my mom, before eventually realizing that she wasn't even home.  Finally I went out into the kitchen and got myself a glass of water.

By this time the trip wasn't overwhelming, just very vivid and colorful.  I put on some dubstep and turned the volume way up (broadcasting station activated!).  I was having a jolly old time when I remembered my buddy was still in the shop.  I went and got him, and we chilled inside for a bit.  At some point I decided I needed a view, so I climbed up on my roof and collected a few.

Later on my mom came home, so we disappeared out the back door and into the woods.  Finally we got the hammock set up and a small fire going.  We then took turns dual-wielding machetes and hacking apart pine trees under the largest oak in the forest.

All in all it was a good trip, even with it's darker moments.  I'm not sure how I would feel about spending that kind of money on it, but if the price doesn't bother you then it should be pretty chill.

Thank you! Truly!

The setting he has provided is exactly what we wanted. I live in a townhouse complex so doing it at home for the first time would not be as magnificent as it will be amongst the mother and teacher plants/cacti. That’s how it’s done in the Amazon and this is as close as it’s going to get to feel that experience.

Yes, that’s exactly his role. Thank you Primal!

As Los asked above why it’s about the teacher and the plant, it necessarily isn’t. He is providing the introduction of this ancient brew as the natives do in South America to those who seek. They too are conduits when providing the environment people are in when they drink ayahuasca by using rattles, shakers, music, harmonic noises, smoking, etc. as well as being in the middle of the jungle. This is what he will do and has done for many years.

I actually am in remission. Since 2017! You may have misread but it’s okay  it’s nice to see a fellow warrior amongst the shroomery.  I am almost at yearly check ups. I just go in every 6 months. 2 more years than I’ll be classified as “cured” from Hodgkins.

Yeah i totally get that

I know a lot of the experience is within ourselves, but having a place like what you describe at the retreat over the run of the mill place (im in a duplex right now) sounds like it can add so much to the overall experience

Plus a cool setting, access to water, some fruit, and a guide in case things go south, and to keep things in gear,
Id go for it :super:

Hope the best for you and your mums :hatsoff:

Have a great time

Congrats man, keep the diet clean
