Just been outside preparing a nice place to get a little garden going. Anyone got any reccomandations of some nice stuff to grow? It dosn't nessarly have to be active, I'm getting some tomato plants monday, just planted some watermelon seed, gonna start morning glories and datura soon, already have some salvia and various cacti, thinking about hbwr. I live in zone 9 as well, preferable looking for reccomendations on what i can get started on within the next month or so (i.e. not stuff i have to wait untill winter to sow) something revetavly cheap and easy for someone new to growing green stuff, and stuff i can eat or trade here to you guys. I have a nice bluethumb but looking to get a green one started as well. Also if anyone has any seeds to trade you think i might be intersted in I have some stuff to trade, not much in the entho department, some cacti seeds though, loads of prints, or maybe a couple bucks or I might have something else you might be intersted in like hemp jewerly ect, just ask, thanks

Tansy Garlic/Onion Mint Marigold Petunia These will all do wonders to protect your garden from various pests. I wouldnt plant without them myself. Plant around the borders. Just watch out for the mint..its real intrusive. I prefer a mix of peppermint and catnip so I can drink peppermint tea and have fresh catnip for my kitties. I am real impressed by khat. Maybe try container growing, then moving it indoors for the winter. I got my seeds from bouncing bear. goodluck
