Thinking about my second upcoming mushroom trip

I’ve tried mushrooms before but I’m pretty sure I just ate them and nothing happened. I’ve tried acid once and thought about it for a long time after.
Anyway, in the future I’m really grateful my friend is going to give me 2 (about)grams of mushrooms. I wished to find some for a really long time. I want to grow someday but it probably won’t happen. I’d worry too much about contamination inside and to the surroundings
I’m planning on lemon tek. The shrooms will be ground up, and left in lemon juice for 15 mins then I’ll drink and hopefully not have nausea. Maybe I’ll drink a cup of tea after. Idk if I should fast or eat before. I hope the days after the trip won be sluggish, instead it will have some afterglow. I hope I’m not twitchy abd too strange around my friend but they are really understanding and nice. I hope I’ll see some visions/visuals/hallucinations and have a good mood. Maybe 2 grams isn’t enough for that. I hope to learn and have a good mindset.

Well it's nice to hear that you're able to get your hands on some mushrooms to help with that previous trip that left you nowhere. I will say one thing from reading this thread. Its very understandable to be nervous and overthink, but you seem like you're REALLY in your head about it.
Just go with the flow my man. Don't stress it. 2g is a good solid dose, especially when LemonTek'd. You can't 'expect' for certain things to happen during trips. Kind of just let the trip be for what it is. Make sure you're safe and that your friend is someone you feel very comfortable around.
As for growing your own - you're overthinking that as well. Once you get the hang out it, it's a fun hobby. There's a lot to learn.. and contams are part of the learning process. All you do is pitch them out anyway. No harm, no foul. Stop analyzing things to such a high degree. You're making it seem more complicated in your head than it actually is!
Have yourself a fun and SAFE time. I look forward to hearing a trip report following your experience. Best of luck.

I've found that cultivation can actually be a part of the trip for me. Cultivating mushrooms will teach you patience, hygiene, and responsibility, all of which are good traits for a psychonaut (indeed, for a person) to have. I put so much love and care into cultivation, and that love always comes through when I eat them, and when sharing them with friends and family.
Of course, there's nothing wrong with eating mushrooms you've received from someone else (I did that for years before I decided to start cultivating). However, I've found that cultivation has only improved my life since I started it

Hey, Nonagon,
Don’t get me wrong; I love liberty cap mushrooms. I have only ever eaten them from the wild, I have never been able to grow them. They are my favourite mushroom in the whole world, and thentrip is second to none that I have experienced.
But when you learn to grow your own, you do put love into their whole existence. So when I take a dose from my homegrown, there is always something. I don’t know what it is, it’s intangible. But it adds an element of love to the trip. A level of security. A level of knowing the effort that has gone into lovingly producing them, clearly demonstrating to the psychedelic gods your respectful attitude towards the mushrooms..
I’ve had a joint, by the way

The mind is very strange.
During my first grow attempt I had harvested about 39 wet grams one evening and ate that. The trip was strange to say the least. When the come up was racing to the peak I had hallucinations of traveling along the mycelium. It felt, looked like I was a set signal or packet of information being transported through a neurol network. Everytime I passed by a node I heard, "Thank you" it was like a hundreds of tiny voices screaming out in excitement. I had this sense and of absolute relief on my mind and body.

You will be fine man. No need to hope so much. The comeup is the worst part

Oh yeah, I always forget that finding active species out in the wild is a possibility, since I don't live in an area where active mushrooms can be found in the wild I imagine that's also a nice kind of experience.

Haha, not sure I believe in any psychedelic gods or anything like that, but everything else you said resonates with me. There is an additional level of security - I always feel more confident going into a trip with my own mushrooms.

Definitely something there when you consume your own homegrown. A lot of time and patience goes into it. Youre there from the start of it to the end of them.
I will only ever eat my own mushrooms now. Even if someone offered me some.. i would kindly decline because I know what I have back home haha.

Haha, the only time I really believe in psychedelic gods is at the height of the peak. And I generally thank them
