been years since iv done any work, and even longer since i posted here, but man does it feel good to be back. just wanna say first and foremost im glad everyone is still here and posting beautiful pics. im almost in tears with the memories and feelings its all bringing back. love you all . now to business.
iv got a redboy print i was sent from a lovely individual here on the forum and i did good work with its fruits for a long while until changes in living situation forced me to stop. i seem to have lost the prints i made or gave them all away but have the original print sent to me. its been kept in a dark place, not necessarily cold, but room temp place for a couple/few years. im using pastywhytes agar tek minus the potato flakes (cuz i keep forgetting to buy them at the store) and with just karo and thats worked for me before. i cant seem to get any of the spores to take on multiple tries. the agar was mixed wetter and with heavier amounts of karo with repeated attempts to try to give it lots of nutrient saturated moisture to germinate. in the meantime i ordered and started a burma culture in the same batch agar and it did fine. the burma is currently in my first batch of jars.
you experienced fellas have any tips for starting older spores?

You can use part of the print to make a spore syringe and let the spores hydrate for a bit.
How long have you waited for germination? It can take awhile on older prints.
