I can't figure out whether these pots are ruined or not, from what I've seen there are side pins in there which I assume are good? But the colouring worries me. I could maybe pop one open to test. I have no sesne of smell (corona) so I can smell test. Anyone give me a definitive?

Looks like it’s pinning because the colony stalled or there is a competitor present. That line of separation in the first pic between the two colonies doesn’t look good and other ones look like they are either bacterial or the substrate is compressed.

If you look at the second one, it's not got a line in the colonies?

Yes but the other one is more pronounced and looks like it’s walking off or fighting each other. This one is incorporating together.

Honestly they all look sketch af. Overgrown and compacted, the colony looks like it’s consolidated and done expanding. That’s why it’s pinning. The whole works is generally unhealthy. You will likely get some fruit but I would temper my expectations.

Well, should you find folks who respect and care about the future of this platform and the art itself, who you think are worthy of it...it might be worth getting them on the roster. :super:

Fair enough, I'll stick with them if there's not some chest destroying mould in there.

For all who can care and help. Show some love.

My humidity im pretty sure is my biggest downfall. Wife sets temp in house at 67 degrees and she ain't gonna change it for my new hobbies. So tub 1 entered fruiting immediately.  I dont have the correct lid for my container so the fae is always there.

Tub 1 is still concerning but I haven't given up on it quite yet. Its been stalled at around 9-10 days. Lid is cracked still introducing misting and fanning still no pinning i can see

Tub 2 again started fruiting immediately and more fruits pop up daily but the top of the coir looks fairly dry i mist occasionally but concerned with water misting on fruits and ruining them. Any thoughts . I need some constructive criticism.

Sides are too clear to be holding humidity. Mist and seal fairly tight for awhlie to get your humidity up. I would rather dial my humidity down than up. You can mist fruits, pans are a different story. I would mist like hell on the one with fruits, if any pools on caps. I would use a paper soak and soak it up. Mist both of course.

Hi everybody. First time poster here, seeking guidance. About two weeks after I inoculated my grain spawn bag I noticed what looked like the begins on mycelium but also saw some spots turning dark grey/black. Now almost another week later there is no mycelium, just more dark grey/black looking grain. Is this contamination?
