Put WBS on to agar... will it work?

Like the title says. I didn't want to wait for spores to germinate on agar but I had some colonized wbs so I placed a few seeds in the center of 3 plates. Will this work? First time using agar after 5 out of 6 wbs jars went bad with the mean green.

Yep that works. Transfer from that plate as soon as you see enough healthy growth to work with.

I just made the mistake recently of transferring too late. T0 was full, cut some out for T1... T1 is doing amazing but T0 is basically just going to start fruiting at this point I think. (Maybe someone could suggest what to do with them even?)
EDIT: Also I would definitely do WBS to agar transfers. I used to be pure grain-to-grain transfers and it worked perfectly so I would assume agar would too.

When you make a transfer from 1 tray to the next, what do we do with the tray the transfer is from? Is it tossed or does it recover incase the new tray goes bad?

My g2g was always just a rotating cycle of PC'd jars of grains, so once one was full I spawned it into 4+ other jars of PC'd grains, 2 of which got put into casing once those were colonized. Not sure what the exact ratio is for every one of them but the idea should work for nearly any ratio.
I've never done tray to tray, seems to me like jar to jar is the best.
