Hello. I am having some issues in my tubs with a white/grey film covering the caps. The affected caps also become wrinkled and somewhat squishy and dry feeling. The stem of the mushroom I picked feels much more squishier and hollow than normal.

These are GT from Agar, spawned to coir and cased with peat/verm. I am using Bods unmodified tubs method.

I have been misting it heavily, possibly more than needed. My apartment is also hot as hell getting into 90's at times.

I have another tub of the same spawn that is uncased, and looks fine so far.

Is this vert or just too hot/ insufficient FAE? I have seen this in a few of my last tubs.

Well thats odd. Ive seen it before thou. Looks like some of your shrooms are molding over..

Could this be a result of overmisting, insufficient FAE and/or extreme heat? 

Also, is this something that could potentially spread to other tubs?

The surface conditions definitely suck if 100% of the mushrooms are growing from the side.

I would focus on getting your growing conditions closer to a desirable range and getting your tubs dialed in to the point where you barely have to mist at all and go from there.

Sounds like a lot of variables are out of control here.

Keep it simple.

It could spread if its mold. Looks like undermisting and heat perhaps. As mentioned abpve, work on fixing your surface conditions so the fruits are fruiting out the top and not the sides.
