BRF Cakes seem to have stalled , advice sought!

Hi there ,
I am following a PF Tek for the first time here.
All seemed to be going ok but it is a month since I inoculated the 1/2 pint jars and the jars are kind of at the 50 % mark only for some time now and some only have a small smudge of mycelium on one side. I don't see mold or discoloration. I suspect they have stalled. I was keeping them in a cupboard in an unused room with the door closed temps averaged around 18C/64F. No tinfoil on top just the vermiculite barrier and the jar lid.
So should I move them to somewhere with more airflow or light like a shelve in indirect light ? I have rigged up a tub in tub incubator so that I can store them at a constant 22C/71F If I decide to. I read a lot about incubators being a bad idea but I am just trying to keep them at what most would consider room temp in a warmer climate.
A big question I have is if it is ok to have a window open in the room they are stored in or is this inviting way too many contams in ?
If they are stalled is there any last ditch rescue attempt I can make like injecting sterilized water or shaking them a bit ?
Thanks for reading and your advice and experience is appreciated,
J

The issue with injecting anything with a spore syringe is that you're risking the possibility of injecting bacteria and competitive molds into your medium along with your spores. They may be growing a tad slow due to the low temperature but there's a decent chance that your cakes have been infected with bacteria resulting in stalled growth. Adding water or shaking will do nothing to help the situation.

1. 18C/64F is sleeping temperature for mycelium. thats why we keep liquid culture LC in refrigerator when we do not want to use for couple of months.
2. there is no incubation or darkness require after inoculation. that was old time thing.
3. they should stall and grow slow because at 22C/71F thats what i do when i got too many cakes and very few fruiting chambers.
4. the temperature range you are looking for 27c/ 80f thats the optimal temperature. less than that like 24c/75f is so slow growth. beyond 28c to 30c is hot hot.
5. constant change in temperature do cause slow and high grow and stress to mycelium.
6. put them in place where its 26c to 27c mycelium do benefit from ambient light.
7. never inject water in micro climate if too much water it will slow them down the cakes should go dry during growth and when they generate heat you can see droplets of water on the surface of glass.
8. put them in place with right temperature and leave them they will recover and start growing again.
9. My first ever grow of golden teacher was from Multi spore syringe took me two months or 60 days for entire thing to grow and i didnt even knew shroomey exists at that time but what i read on google i followed after two months later i found out the temperature, ambient light thanx to many good people here.
10. the place you are looking for is with temperature of 27c/ 80f and ambient light not sun light it will heat them and can cause more issues to deal with.and let them be check once a day do not lose mind it completely depends on micro climate inside the jar and mycelium when to grow further and where to stall if given right temperature.
when it looks like mycelium is doing nothing then realize its doing every thing. also for in depth you can read these notes https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/8468474#8468474

@Pesa
Thank you for taking the time to write that , very informative and much appreciated I will go for that temperature range of 27C Although I have been warned that that temp invites contams ?

higher temperature above 27c invites contams like 29c. if it makes you feel better you can go for 26c it will work fine and this entire temperature research was done by RR and he put cakes on different temperature killed mycelium on higher temperature put mycelium to sleep on lower like below 20c. read his entire notes did few small experiments turns out RR was right. while you wait for your jars to recover read a bit skip the parts of bulk grow just pf tek and temperatures. i am in tropical country its winter and temperature changes too much so i had to put my jars in drying chamber since its not easy to get dehydrator here. out side is 24c but inside is 27c no heating pads or any thing its 20 cakes generating there own heat and going to fruiting chamber next week
