Despite what the old literature says, I dehydrate at 160 degrees F. I don't notice any loss of potency compared to drying at lower temperatures.

i don't think it does anything to degrade potency. i don't think a lot of people believe that anymore. my dehydrator doesn't have a temperature setting on it i just let it go at whatever the stock temp (probs 176 or something) is & mine have always been fine
they just have to be cracker dry

The faster you could get it cracker dry the better as far as potency goes. The highest setting should do great.

Mine is adjustable from 100-160 and I've used pretty much every increment on their dial without issue.

Hmmm, I haven't read too much on this but I've been doing mine at 95F because of all the literature that says higher will degrade psilocybin.
How about cooking mushrooms? Is this still thought to be something that will surely reduce potency?

How do you make mushroom tea, 212Β°f is surely not going to degrade psilocybin, so why would you think 165Β°f would. Get them dry asap enzymes destroy actives and moisture is vital to enzymes, so the sooner you dry them the better.

Very true I hadn't thought of or read that. I'll start setting my dehydrator to it's highest.
Also just did a search and it looks like a lot claim cooking them in a meal works just fine with no potency loss. I'll definitely be trying this

true abt tea, also iβm pretty sure iβve heard of people doing some cooking w them before. i think the actives are pretty stable unless you char them
