Storing bare spore syringe in fridge

I used a small amount of solution from my gt syringe but didnt have a plastic sandwich bag big enough to put the syringe in so i just placed the bare syringe in the fridge away from other foods in a door tray/compartment. Will this still be ok?
Tried using the search bar and only got basic answers such as leave it in a bag and put it in the fridge.

I would probably just make a foil wrapper for it and store it in the fridge, it would probably be ok if but I just like to have a barrier in between the syringe and the fridge. The spore solution is protected by the syringe but one more layer wont hurt nothing.

Ok sounds good to me. I’m gonna flame sterilize between each inoculation but I’m just worried the spores will get contaminated without a plastic bag or something else to help protect. Didn’t think about foil tho.
I have some agar going but I wanna do a grain inoculation with 4 jars. One for a control that dosent get anything. One for a grain to agar back to grain transfers. And two for masters on a g2g monotub.

I personally never liked g2g transfers, I understand the concept but I've personally never had good luck with g2g, poor technique more than likely. If you have any half pints laying around they are good to practice on, put a half cup of hydrated grain into them and drop a wedge in, they colonize fast and will get you into the process and technique. It lets you see all the stages of growth in around a month. Idk how experienced you are but its easier to test a culture on a cup of grain in a bunch of little jars vs prepping quarts up and finding out you have a bad culture on 20 quart jars.

Yeah that’s a good idea I’ll have to try that.
Used to get a shit load of flushes with no problem at all. Bad technique with everything being a newbie then I went to thinking on my own. I basically followed franks teks to a t. When I started to get nothing but contamination I started to realize what I was off on. Started using 90% alcohol not realizing 70%is better. I miss understood that the highest temps a mono tub substrate would work at is 86 in the core of substrate, my house gets hot in the south and the air temp was floating between 84-86 inside house so no telling what the substrate temp was. I would always have jars that colonized on time and smelled good, the monotub would colonize appropriately right until it was time to fruit and I would always get a green patch that took over fast. So I gave up for a few years and trying to get back at it, got a place that stays 72 year round so hopefully I’ll have better luck this go round. Was thinking hidden contamination in my wbs so went to agar and got the cleanest spawn I have ever seen then still had same problems so idk just trying to eliminate factors and was thinking the syringe being open fridge air would be a source of contamination. Dammmm the contamsss!!!! Hahaha
