Does anyone know the proper way to do one. When I was younger I saw my uncle burn a perfect square. Perhaps with some research I can do the same?. Long story short when we had money to pay someone we had about a 20$ lawn. They never showed up. Now we have a 50$ lawn with grass up to my tits. Wat do

My lawn mowing equipment only works with regular maintenance. This is well beyond that because I foolishly trusted someone else to show up back when I had money. I was thinking of doing just a controlled burn on the back yard then sever days worth of weadeating on the sides and then my reel mower in the front. Or I just burn the whole block down and start over

What we used to do back in the day was just wait for appropriate weather. This usually meant early summer (around this time of year) when the dead grass is sufficiently dry, but not so dry that it burns uncontrollably. Wait for a day with little or no wind; anything more than a very gentle breeze makes things uncontrollable. Then light one part in an upwind corner/edge of the part you want to burn, and control the edges of the burn by using a shovel to smash out the fire as it reaches the edge of the intended burn zone. We used to do this together, my dad and myself; it helps to have someone lend a hand to catch those spots that you miss yourself. Keep the burn area small enough so that you can easily oversee it at all times. It's better to work with several smaller, consecutive fires than to try to do it all at once.

That's one way of doing it. But then again, does it still work today?
Another pretty much fool-proof method if you want to be left with bare earth and you're not in a rush: fence of the area with chicken wire, put some chickens in there and do nothing for a few weeks. You'll be left with perfectly bare top soil with no living organism in the top inch or so. Guaranteed to work. There's in inverse relationship between the number of chickens and the time needed for clearance.

but when you remove the chickens your left with manured land and everything starts growing like weeds

a year or two after we moved our chickens from the realy old spot I even found a single strawberry growing in the really old coop, we get rotten veggies and stuff from the wholesaler to feed the animals so a chicken must of ate a rotten strawberry
we moved our chickens 3 times and in the second oldest spot a bunch of tomatillios grew, I have no idea how that happened I only bought 1 tomatillio plant in my life and had it 500 ft away in the garden
