Can I move my cacti to a greenhouse?
    #26807600 - 07/06/20 05:56 PM (3 years, 6 months ago)

So I do not want to keep my small grow box running for my cacti anymore and would like to move them into my greenhouse. Would that be okay? The temps vary from 65-100F currently. During winter it can get into the mid 20F for a short period of time. Also would it be wise of me to separate them?

Seeds were from eBay as Trichocereus Hybrids Peruvianus, and Trichocereus macrogonus x peruvianus/bridgesii/macrogonus

I have more cups with cacti just took a pic of these 2 cups.

Those are significantly stretched out and will probably burn from more light. You will need to adjust them slowly to brighter light, or have some serious shade and gradually increase the light. As long as the interior of the greenhouse doesn't get frosty, it should be fine. I keep seedlings in my greenhouse year round but they have protection from direct sun.

Sure can, but if you're concerned you should acclimate them for 3-5 days first, this can be done by setting them on a sill by an open window.
Try splitting them up after they get situated outside. Those things are STRETCHED.

I'm glad I asked. Never knew they stretched that bad. I'll get them acclimated starting today. In my greenhouse I'll place them under a shaded area of my passion fruit vine. Huge thanks guys!
