Natural stone producer in kangaroo land?
    #26805820 - 07/05/20 07:21 PM (3 years, 6 months ago)

I was digging up my garden some time ago and found what looks like sclerotia. Cream coloured and no bigger than half a walnut.

I have tried magic truffles in Amsterdam and they look rusty with dark green/black specks. So i presume the ones in my garden are not magic. Just curious what they could be.

Also, an unrelated question. Why would anyone bury heaps of rocks and broken tiles into the garden, except to piss off the new owner digging up the garden years later?

Ask me about growing yeast, mold and bacteria. I'm very experienced. :tongue2:

Likely is sclerotia as you suspect. Feel free to post a picture

Argocybe pedias is the most common stone producer where i live, they csn get pretty big too. Impressive species, very drought tolerant.

As far as wild stones your only hope is panaleous cinticulus and they are more like pebbles than stones.
