Grain contamination * 1
    #26804942 - 07/05/20 10:11 AM (3 years, 6 months ago)

Any advice on this?

Agar to grain, I only gave the one transfer.
Is this terribly contaminated. Looked ok until shaking then the grains seemed to go black.

This is another jar that looked the same few days ago, see the green blotch

hope the pics are good enough quality...

Hard to see the black you're taking about. Sometimes there are darker kernels in my rye.

The green is no bueno.

Yea the spot of green didn't fill me with confidence, will ditch that jar. See how the other turns out.

Thanks for the reply

I can’t tell but it might just be bruising. That jar looks pretty colonized and sometimes it’ll start to dry out and bruise.

It does look like bruising to me. If your spawn is clean it should recover soon.

Here's a jar of bruised P.subaeruginosa spawn after a shake for comparison.

Looks like mycelium to me. The pic with the bluish area is out of focus thus its difficult to identify what it is....

Bruising. Those jars look like they’ve been done for weeks.
