And it is madness. When I listen to Joe Rogan and others, and “that book”, the spirit molecule, I would certainly say there are aspects of that. Possibly not as fully immersive as DMT, but definitely the jesters, and the madness.
You know those nature shows, and where they would show a mass of writhing snakes. It could be like that. But not just snakes. More often it would be gears and things. And I’d be in it. Somehow. And sometimes it could get overwhelming where you think you can’t breathe. So I’d open my eyes momentarily, come up for air, sos to speak, then close my eyes and crack on. There would be huge underground cavernous spaces, not just 3D, it felt more than 3d. And fairground rides, magic carpets, clouds, tunnels, archetypes. Sometimes there would be that 70s psychedlic feel, quite hippy, new age, lovey dovey, and weird! Like pink Floyd saucer full of secrets weird. But the power, the magic, the transcendence of the laws of physics. It keeps me coming back
Yes, you definitely experience madness. Organic madness. Yes I do love it, so much I’m talking myself into a proper dose.
Take care DJ Ed

Hahah. 35myears though, brother. Only ever ate the one, yesterday. I don’t feel the need to eat another one for another 35 years. Tea will do me fine

I can’t wait to micro dose again. I really enjoy the ability to still be able to function and be productive, but at the same time there is a body load and everything becomes more noticeable, plus I feel a little stoned

As long as that float is boating dj.
The first time you had mushrooms you had a tea? What sort of space invaders were you hanging out with?
When I was 14 my friend and I ruined a pot trying to make salvia extract out of the store bought salvia.

I don’t know, mum and dad always said they were the wrong crowd! I don’t know anybody either that actually eats the mushrooms. But on the other hand, most of them are dead now. Some I can’t trace, so don’t know either way. My peers may have known about best extraction and ingestion method, but they had no idea on dose

When I was a youngling I did care about dose. I cared about the high doses. I was just a punk kid. But we hopefully learn. My mom and dad were always telling to work hard but I didn't find a purpose for that until my late 20s. Here we are now. Doing the doing. As always.

Hey DJ Ed, I just wanted to jump in as I've been microdosing now for almost two months and have some thoughts for you.
Microdosing is often used for a specific reason - for many it is for treatment of depression or anxiety - or some other condition they are keen to be rid of. It is used to help rewire your brain and get out of mental ruts/circular thinking. Set and setting (although set moreso) is important for microdosing.
What exactly were you wanting to achieve with it? It seems like your intent was perhaps a little fuzzy, and that possibly led to a fuzzy experience.
Dosage seems to be a very personal and quite unpredictable. It takes time to get a dosage right for you. The aim is to feel benefit over time and/or to be able to look back at your day and feel like you had a "good day" without necessarily feeling it (although I always do, some people seem to reach 'sub-perceptual'). I have dosed from 5mg up to 200mg and will say that 200 is generally pretty high for a microdose and I dislike that dose intensely. It tends to put you in a grey area and have poor results (i.e. you just feel shitty).
I have settled at 80mg, just under the 'average' of 100mg - a dose that seems to suit a lot of people really well, and a good place to start. I have not yet found a dose that I don't feel on some level - I can even feel 5mg. It is truly surprising the different effects/results at different dosages, even with only a few mg difference. I feel a little 'stoned' at 80mg and it does make me feel tired, so I dose on a full stomach after dinner at least 5 hours before bed. That works really well for me. Some people get energised and have to dose in the morning.
For the nausea - you can grind your mushrooms into a powder and stir that into a cup of tea/cocao/coffee. This is what I do. I feel it in my stomach when it hits, but it's not bad. Chewing a mushroom on an empty stomach is not going to leave you feeling great. Also, dosing on an empty stomach feels completely different to dosing on a full stomach, and I prefer the latter as my physical symptoms are dramatically reduced.
A lot of people who do full trips feel disappointed by microdosing, are confused by it, or abandon it after a few attempts. I'd say this is about expectations. Know what microdosing is good for and what it can help with. That may not be what you're looking for. I think microdosing and macrodosing both have benefits - but for completely different reasons. I am managing a disorder and it has helped me out of sight. I would choose to macrodose for completely different reasons, and microdosing is far more effective for changing day to day behaviours and thoughts over time.
Finally, check out the microdosing subreddit if you want more info. A few hours over there will help you no end if you're keen to continue.
Hope this has helped!
Cheers.

I think I’ve tried it down to lockdown boredom, and not feeling comfortable trying a normal dose. I have been using mushrooms to treat depression, but to be honest I haven’t been depressed this year.
So yes I. Honesty it was boredom. But I was quite shocked at how much of the 0.2g I felt. I have been thinking about getting more accurate scales, and or one of those capsule machines.
But as soon as lockdown is over, and or my psychedelic summerhouse is complete, I’ll be back on macrodoses. Wouldn’t feel comfortable MD while I’m working, which is generally in a secure environment.
❤️ DJ Ed
