That bluing is definitely reminiscent of a Psilocybe. It doesnt look like any species i know of.
Awesome find!

It looks Psathyrella-ish, does it bruise blue or does it just have blue regions? If you can reproduce the bluing effect then thats a good sign, if not it could be from some chemical in the habitat

^ Yeah, strange find. The cap looks like Psathyrella, but the bruising says Psilocybe.

It looks like you have a few specimens. Can you please take some photos of all of them in that dish?
Now would be the best time take many photos as they are still fresh and we still have a couple hours of daylight left.

Fuck me. I fear he has gone and eaten them. Attaching to the words 'definitely' and 'psilocybe' in my original post and not reading it as 'the bluing reaction definitely resembles that of a psilocybe'. I have to watch how i word things, remembering that not everyone possesses such fine points of discrimination in the english language.

i await a banning

Yo people, i'm back! I'll check bruising again when i'm home Just been out and about, no consumption as yet. Drying some out so they might not be helpful, but some are sitting to spore print and i can play with those.
I haven't seen any blueing through cap yet from memory- is that something that might say no?
Will send through more pics tomorrow, bare with me crew

You would've been fine man. It says under the MH&I forum to never eat unidentified mushrooms & that the site isn't responsible for any misidentification. You didn't identify anything & used the word "reminiscent"
@mullingitover Cool find!
I wouldn't be so quick to dry them. Although intriguing there is still an element of doubt to this one. If there's no additional bruising on the fresh specimens then that isn't a good sign.

Hey all, i'm back! How do I know who are trusted identifiers?

Here are some more. The non bruising cap makes me suspicious, but the stems are all reasonably blue in areas. Weird, but probably environmental as stated.
Thoughts?

This is a pretty interesting find. Are you able to post any photos of the spore print?
How fragile are the caps and stems?

Yes, very interesting, that cap texture is reminiscent of mushrooms that have been frozen by frost, was there a frost recently?
Make spore prints and take photographs of them and also, can you take images of them in the habitat?

And definitely roam the grass again after next rain for fresh specimens and take your time with photos...
Tip- Zoom in in your shot and bring the camera further away and let it focus
1. Shot of them in the grass one close up one a bit further away
2. Shot of a few caps up close the zoom effect works great here
3. Shot of a few of the undersides
4. Collect in something they will have space in and handle each with care
5. Shots of your prints preferably on foil for possible studies one drop of water on each cap to print better
6. Take the stems and tear em in strings and put them to the side and take pics of the staining preferably on something white
7. Stay tuned I think you are on to something here

What did the base of them stems look like when you picked them?
Those caps remind me of a Xerula sp
The bluing and gills say otherwise
