man is it me or the pics but that looks almost like it has a purpleish tint to it dont it??? anyone?? im sure its just the pic combined with the lighting but i do think it may look a lil wet in there. how much spore solution u use per jar. cuz if it is myc it just seems like an awful lot of tomeotose/germination type of growth at that size. cuz when i did brf jars and almost every other one ive seen by the time the growth is that size it should be a lot lot more white and rhizomorphic by that size๐คท๐ผ๐คท๐ผ anyone else care to chime in?

i'm pretty sure its the lighting...this was kinda my trial/practice run as it was a free syringe (and i used presterilized brf jars ..I was too heavy on the syringe and used 2cc per jar :O ...i have 5 other jars that i sterilized myself and used 1cc per jar so hopefully they turn out better...so does this mean they are duds??? thanks!

plz remove vendors name from your post its against the rules here and the vendor would not appreciate that you are advertising breaking the law with their product. spores are sold for microscopy only. so lets not poke the bear here and make the thought police change the spore laws that would only hinder our ability to practice the hobby we love

Nothing looks obviously wrong. It's hard, but patience is the number one skill in this hobby.

Cool, yeah I realized that lol...so just let them ride? I know i used a little too much cc per jar but that's the only problem that I can think of besides the 'pre made' brf jars..sorry i'm just a total newbie when it comes to mycology... I'm not really sure what to look for at this stage

ya i think its just the lighting givn the purple lookin tint but its just wierd cuz in all my brf jars i never had growth that big and have it all look like fresh germination usually by that size for me itd already be that nice healthy white color with at least a few rhizomorphic spots on it. but as said just keep an eye out n see what happens๐๐๐

My first go with pf tek I accidentally used 5cc on one jar. It colonized significantly faster than the rest ๐

so these are GTs inoculated on 6/29 (3 weeks tommorow) - made my own brf mix and steam sterilized for 105 minutes .75-1cc per jar (followed lets grow mushrooms)..was just wondering what you guys think ..100%? looks good/healthy? I also inoculated through micropore tape and left the tape on..can I keep it on? Thank you

1.looks healthy and normal.
2.in still air box SAB you can remove the micro pore tape and inoculate
3.also can not see the bottom of jars. if bottom and top all gone beautifully white snow give it a week to consolidate and then birth them.
4.wash the extra verm dunk them for 24 hours and roll them in verm straight to fruiting chamber.

Agree that it looks healthy, also about consolidating... you want to see white on every single part of the jars to consolidate.
The question is do you want to just do the cake method and let them fruit from there, or get some vermiculite, perlite, coco coir, etc, and let them recolonize shoeboxes which will produce way more fruit.
Depends on what you're more comfortable with, I did the cake method my first time until I learned how these little bastards like to grow the best.
