I was just following advice, I had 2 mini tub's one got to dry on top so someone suggested flipping it. It did great I already got 2 dry oz out of 2 quarts jars on first to flush. Now it smells a lil different (I might of misted to much to counter the dryness. Nbd either way if it's a toss I got a bunch fresh jars almost colonized. (This was my first 2 tubs so I'm just try to make sure I know what contams are and look like for future ) thank you for the look and advice.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know specifically what contamination this is?

I took a couple chunks out with a knife to see if it'd change color from the wounds, to no avail.
It's been hot the past week, but wife took a couple pictures for me to share man. Still haven't come across an identification for whatever it is.
Hope all is well, my dudes. Happy 4th!

Hello everyone,
I'm almost sure it's contamination, but want to ensure, so I'm asking you: how this looks like?

ok, have no idea what that white thing is, maybe cluster of albino pins somewhat deformed, hard to say man. fingers crossed it is
Alienwatts, yeah dude , you got a lot going on in there.
I am experiencing some of this myself with a couple of tubs and cased them with sterilized sub. they seem much better now.
it was not as bad as yours but still. I'd probably keep those tubs outside somewhere or separate from any other grow.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could advise me whether the dark coloration around the mycelium in these grains was bruising or contamination?
These are half pint jars that I plan to use as G2G feeder jars to about 8 half pints
It DOES look nasty, and I was tempted to dump them out right away, but wanted to make sure. The mycelium looked all-white in the jars and I had left them a bit long so they partially consolidated. I had to slam them against a sofa arm rest and then shake them a lot in order to break them up

As long as it was totally colonized you may be okay, but it is pretty gnarly looking. No sense in wasting it really. Just keep a really good eye as it goes.
