Moochers, freeloaders (or whatever they're called!)

There's this buddy of mine who's always using/eating/taking my stuff. By no means am I ungenerous... in fact I never have any complaint or disagreement sharing or giving, but this guy has gone too far. He has no shame! I for one am not very passive when it comes down to things annoying me. So I told him to quit using my stuff all the time, and go and purchase his own. I also told him to stop eating every single piece of my food (I wouldn't be so pissy about sharing my food but he eats up everything and leaves hardly anything left). I made it clear that I did not spend money on things just to let him use/eat it. Nonetheless, he keeps asking to use things or to have something to eat on a daily basis and I have to keep telling him no. Eventually, I just ignored his requests, but he asks anyway and it drives me nuts. I am not sure how to deal with a consistent badgerer such as he; anyone have any ideas?

I am in a similar situation. Only it's about how I've blazed him up many times, and he hasn't blazed me up in a very long time. Not only that, but I lent him money months ago, which he hasn't paid back, and he has a job too making a lot more than minimum wage. So basically I've decided whenever I go over to his house I'm going to eat his food as interest.

I was thinking laxative, but that may not even deter him!

He has nothing that interests me. We both have a computer, he has no food (that's why he's constantly asking for some of mine), and he has no phone.

start putting metal shards in all of your food. you'll probably only have to do it twice before he gets the point...

Ipitac (sp?) syrup. you know, the stuff that you drink to induce vomiting. one time this guy at my dad's work would always drink everyone's pop in the fridge, so they put in like 3 times the normal dose in a 2-liter. as usual the guy chugs the Dr Pepper... ended up in the ER because he couldnt stop vomiting.
he never drank other people's pop after that.
so yeah, try that... but use the recommended dose.

yeah i know what thats like. i'm generous for the most part...it depends what it's about. if it's something that i really wanted that i spent my money on to enjoy i will be more "selfish" or whatever about it. But i'll lend friends a little money if they need it or smoke them up (most of my friends smoke me up too, but there are a few that never have). It just gets real annoying because they get used to getting it all for free and not having to do jack shit. But if it's pretty bad, just lay down the law that you don't want him using all your shit and eating your food.

I already stated that I laid down the law, but he keeps asking. He has no shame, but I do not want to cut off relations with him just because of these petty issues.
