I just switched to Brave from Chrome. Fucking shit this one is so much faster. My enter computer feels happier. Is there something even better out there?

Opera.
It looks classy, imo, and has a, although very rudimentary, built-in vpn.

You make BAT cryptocurrency from Brave, no other browser pays you to use it

I use Firefox on Windows and Android. I've been using it as my primary browser since 2004 and watched its rise and fall in popularity. I still like it best because it's the most customizable and has a good reputation for privacy. It's the only major browser released by a non-profit, so their allegiance is to their users and not their shareholders. It's still getting exciting performance improvements (like WebRender which uses GPU acceleration to draw pages) and the Android release has addon support so you can run uBlock on mobile (not as unique a feature as it used to be, but still awesome). With Edge switching to the Chromium engine, we're losing another competitor in the browser engine space. I hope people keep supporting alternate browsers so we don't return to the bad old days of browser monoculture where one corporation is the de-facto arbiter of internet standards.

Well said. I'll admit I am guilty of using chrome and firefox.
It seems completely a good idea to consider internet security, unless you are a lowland chap like I and others.

samesies samesies samesies, pretty much. I've used it on and off for a long time. Chrome(which was the only comparable one imo) only got worse and Firefox got better.

O How dare you use the googs.

How could you have done that. DO you know that everything you've ever searched for is now public data?

How could you have, Pirates Blues!?

Ok Ok
Just don't search for like illegal stuff.
But like searching " how to get a dildo out of my pussy" might ring a bell. or like how to make gunpowder out of evaporate urine.
An astute study of google searches might have you reveal some that you have searched for.

Opera is good, duckduckgo's growser is pretty good, depends what you want it for. Chrome is a resource hog but has lots of add-ons that give good functionality, firefox too and firefox collects way less data about you. With google though you can request them to wip all the data they have collected on you its a pretty easy process buy you lose saved contacts and all that stuff that makes it convient. Built in password generator and protector is great on chrome as long as your chrome account has a strong password. I use that for daily browsing, but then again my whole computer is encrypted, and when I erases files I have a program that overwrites those sectors then erases again making the former data irretrievable.

Nice spread of programs overall. I will have to try duck duck goose as a search engine - currently google is my one and only, DGAF what they know about me. If I havent been arrested yet for what ive searched I never will be.
Failed to say what I like about the switch to Brave:
Like Viral said, you can earn BAT crypto from using it, and can contribute it to the site of your choosing (I am guessing Shroomery would be one?) Blocks most ads. Like I dont see most of them. Oddly enough I see ads on the shroomery so maybe they are vetted in a certain way. A day on chrome browser and I had like 4500 trackers going, Brave is like 40 It remembers my tabs upon reopening from the getgo. Who knows maybe there is a setting to have this in all browsers I just never had it that way TOR browser is an option - not that I have a need for it.
