HELP! Identifying Subaeruginosa - blackened tops

Hey guys,
If anybody is able to help identifying/clarifying that these are Subs, and if so are they still edible?
I found a heap of heavily decayed subs in the tan bark under a big 'ol shaded tree. I looked a little closer and found heaps of these..

I found a few that didn't have the blackened bruising. I'm confused as they are still young, all bruised blue, so I'm thinking they just bruised themselves trying to push their way up through the thick bark?
If they are all subs, is it okay to eat the dark cap, or is it possibly black rot, and are the stipes still okay to eat? I read a theory that black rot could be a cause for WLP (wood lovers paralysis), so I'll be stuck on the couch for 6 hours.
My other thought is that it hailed hard yesterday, (not much Sun lately either). Could that have bruised/frosted the caps up...because all the caramel tops I found, I had to dig a little deeper for.

Any insight would be really appreciated. Cheers.

They’re mostly aborts.
You should try to leave the caramel capped pins next time. Give em a chance to grow & propagate.

Thanks for the replys
I checked up on 'aborts', after you mentioned. Some say they're okay to eat (apparently more potent), some say not okay, due to bacteria. I plan on drying. What do you think?
I picked the caramels because this was a very urban area, with a lot of locals looking for the same thing. They would've been gone if I turned my back for a second haha, otherwise I would've waited.
Thanks again.

They would be fine just make sure that all the blackened parts are in fact bruising and not rotting.

That’s not a very good mentality to have. I’m sure if they’re not greedy and understand how they should go about picking that they too would leave the pins alone. Otherwise picking them will restrict their ability to proliferate.

I had that thought in my mind, and I do what I can to ethically forage. Although, in this case, I was more worried that they would just turn black anyway - thoughts before posting. I left plenty of the other aborts behind to be fair. I was only after about 2g dry, for personal use.
I appreciate the advice and replies. Cheers
