I often had this when i started, as i didn`t wear gloves.
I could wash and sanitize my hands, everytime mold at the edges.
It was over then with gloves.
Perhaps you got dead skin material falling from your hands?
But i don`t know if that`s the case.

Disclaimer: I have yet to grow one tiny mushroom yet. So my opinions are just that... opinions.
But if i am you, I'll give it a while more before giving up on them. If they look white as bleached cotton and has a pattern (spreading in straight lines out from the centre), you're fine. I have taken myc like that, made LC and knocked up popcorns with them. Smells like almond/wood, which is how most mushrooms smell like.
The bigger the circle grow, the clearer the lines will be. And the more times you isolate to new agar, the more defined.
-------------------- Ask me about growing yeast, mold and bacteria. I'm very experienced. The first post any newbie should read even before acquiring spores: Pastywhyte's Principles of mushroom growing for beginners

Yeah right, it`s hard to tell.
I also wouldn`t toss, it won`t hurt

I use gloves and religiously douse them in ISO everytime they leave the SAB, unless im inoculating and usinh flame for the needle cuz I have syringe in one hand and plates in the other.
I Lysol my SAB and spray ISO before spraying with soapy water after the iso dries. I try to make sure the walls are soapy etc.

One last thing:
When did you inoculate? If it was let`s say 2 days before this won`t be myc.

you should get bigger plates. not much room to grow before you have to transfer

Have you multiple dishes with that at the border, or is it always the same in the pics?

You're doing the same thing everyone is doing without even knowing it was a spore syringe that I shook around the plate. Based off the growth, not the placement, do you think its myc or not?
Out of 100 plates ive had so many different contams and not one myc. I know its my "tek" so I keep sterilizing and getting more contam cultures. Cobweb is the fave
Ive had multiple people say mold and one guy even said he did not take much time to even look at my picture, but solely based off the location, it is mold. .
