LC LI and colonized grain all work decent for bottles. I personally loved using colonized millet to get em going.

That could be it - if they manage alright on straight/cased grain then I wonder how they would do spawned to coir, maybe with a lower spawn rate?

"If you are going to inoculate a sterilized substrate with agar you might want to mix prepped grain in.
Muda had a cool tek for doing bottles like this. I think he preferred to inoculate with LC over wedge though"
My first cube grow was muda's bottle tek. And I did use some 2 months old LI in one of the containers. It was the first one to show signs of life but it also stalled after 2 days. LI is my preferred way to go so I'll be definitely be doing more of it. On the other hand Angam does his pans without grains. Just manure/ hay 60/40. And he has some nice results. I dont think pans like grains that much. The best looking one nocked with 3 small wedges. Pan cyan Estero T4

How are those getting GE, loosened cap?
Manure/hay does make sense tho, cows eat hay, poop out manure

mushpunx said: Nice looking stones too! I just knocked up some Galindoi plates this morning! I did a number of 6quart bags before of Galindoi.
I had SO many stones I didn't know what to do. I ended up drying them (they're too hard to eat, gotta grind them for tea).
I couldn't give them away though! All my friends turned their nose up like they weren't mushrooms!

99.99 --200 grams of stones from 1 cup (dry?) of wheat must mean you had close to 100% conversion of the wheat==>stones? I have ATL#7 rye jars that are now 4 months along, and I'm dying to dig into them, not sure what kind of yield to expect.

nice stones
but i was wondering the same thing, 1 cup wheat to 200g truffles doesnt make sense. also one cup wheat to a BAG of grain doesnt make sense (most people use like 20 cups wet or 5 cups dry for a bag)
what are we missing? was part of this a typo?

After I harvested the truffles I used the leftover wheat mixed in with core/vermiculite -80/20 mix Pasteurized After five days the sub was fully colonized so I cased with eighth of an inch of Jiffy mix and this is the resulting product today Heaviest first flush ive had yet, I’ll take another photo at harvest

This is from the 7 month old bag? Great work!
What did you fruit the tray in?

Yes this is that 7 month old bag I put the substrate in a aluminum cake pan And poked a couple holes in the bottom to let excess water drip out I left a plastic lid on it after caseing inside of the greenhouse until I noticed pins were just about going to pop out then it was fruited inside of my greenhouse
