That is cool man, I just have this spiral hanky I found on last Summer's Getaway in Sommerset, WI from an old tour head that I'm in love with, I really want a shirt like it. Those are good designs tho, I'll be out this summer, if I can afford it I'll pick one up for sure!

those are nice! i wish i could tie dye shirts that well...i haven't tried in years but i know they wouldn't be nearly as good as that. I only have 2 good tie dyes, and a few grateful dead tie dye shirts. I wouldn't mind to get some more.

yea, i figure i'll sell them online untill i go on tour, that way i'll have some money to get to denver to start with.... That and pay for all the supplie's i bought... i just spent 200 on shirts tonight...
anyway, this one chick sells them in town (small small town) for an insanely super high price of $40 each... when i found that it, i was trippin... that's like 2x standard price. she wants $25 just for a kids shirt... and they arent even that good... thier alright, but not no $40 a shirt good.
I'll also use this post to say "have a good weekend" cause i'm goin to seattle to my other job... Peace~

yea, thier's a farmers market in town, and i figure i'll take some glass beads there and jars, and tie-dye's... i figure about 15-20 per shirt, depending on how much work has to go into it, like the mushroom shirt, i have to sew that, and tie it all carefully, but the spirals i can make a lot quicker...
i just made 2 more tonight, another mushroom, and a heart.... and then i also made 2 long sleeve shirts that are going to go toward my tie-dye suit..
so let me tell you about my suit i'm going to dye... my uncle was in the navy, and had 1 pair of his summer (white) pants left over... and since he's a fat bastard now, he cant fit into them anyway, plus, why would he want to wear those? so he came out of his room with a bunch of dress shirts that he got custom made in the phillipens for way cheap when he was there... anyway, most of them were polyester, which wont dye, but some were cotton... he also has a nice white, custom made jacket, which he cant fit into anymore... the messed up part is that they wree all stained, like sweat stained... so i bleached them and they came out fine... all i need now is a white cotton belt, a cotton tie, and maybe a hat....i'm also going to get some cotton boxers, and sox to match... and i was EVEN thinking about getting some white converse to dye... but those are $40 for convrse... and i'll be rollin in style with a complete tie-dye suit... it's going to be Soo pimped out. ... i might get like a tophat, and cover it with tie-dye cloth, from this shirt i got that has a small hole in it... oh, and i'd probly need a cane and a vest... anyway....

those are great - i'm guessing you use 100% cotton because those colors are so vibrant. usually cotton blends don't take the dye too well - mostly polyester is what doesn't absorb the dye.

on and off for the past 3-4 years... mostly i would use get a tie-dye kit and use that, but recently i purchaced all the stuff from a real place for cheaper, and it is better... so now i'm going to be tie-dying a lot

you could get a kit from your local fabric/craft store... or maybe i could sell you some of my dye and make you your own little kit.. so that they come out better than in the kit.
basicaly what you do is you soak the shirt in SODA ASH and that activates the dye, then you tie it, spirals are super easy, and then you dye it with 3 colors... mixing the dye on the shirt
